Kohl woke up this morning like nothing was wrong. He said he was feeling great and he even looked better:0) He ate his breakfast and lunch then I put him in for a sleep before going to the birthday party, he woke up at 3:00pm just in time to get ready to leave for McDonald's. He had his supper and cake then wanted a sundae so I think the flu bug has passed. For him at least. Trinity has been complaining about having a sore throat for a couple of days so I have been giving her Tylenol to help and she went to bed early. I am sure it is just a matter of time before someone else gets sick.

THE FLU BUG FOUND US...
Today after meeting Matt for lunch he decided to drive us home so that I wouldn't have to take the kids out to pick him up at suppertime. Just minutes before we got home Kohl threw up all over the van and himself. What a mess.... I managed to find him a small container that someone thankfully left in the van and continued on home. Teasing with Matt I told him it was a good thing we went for lunch because if we had of been home I wouldn't probably have a bigger mess to clean up on lots more laundry. Matt laughed at me and said " you always find the bright side of things don't you?" Then I thought but maybe if we were home he would have ran to the bathroom but poor Kohl doesn't have a fast mode in him and he wouldn't have made it there either and would have got the floor. This kid is so slow that Matt said that the throw up (gross I know) would probably crawl to the toilet before Kohl got there LOL. What a time to pick on Kohl. He isn't feeling any better yet but he's in bed playing with his new lego Matt brought home for him and unfortunately it looks like he won't be able to attend his first school friends birthday party at Mcdonal's tomorrow at 4:00pm. See what tomorrow brings but I'm sure it will be another sick kid in the house then another then another then it will be our turn. Get it over before March Break. I would hate to have to cancel our trip home.Monday, January 21, 2008
***IT'S TIMES LIKE THIS....
...THAT REMIND ME THAT MY CHILDREN REALLY DO LOVE EACH OTHER!
With having four children things are always crazy busy around here and the kids are always picking at each other and aren't very nice to each other on most occasions which often gives me the impression that they hate each other. The other night after little Blake took a fall into his brothers bed, I got the bloody lip cleaned up and put a cold cloth on it to help stop the bleeding while he was curled up in my bed. Not long after I returned to the bedroom and found Kohl and Blake cuddled up together and Kohl was telling Blake that it was alright, trying to make him feel better! Why can't they be this way to each other all the time or at least most of the time?!:0)

***TIME CHANGE
I don't know about you but the time change isn't going great around here, for the younger kids that is. Bed times and getting up in the mornings for them is so off schedule. This morning Blake climbed into be with us at around 5:00 am and he would be quiet, talk-talk-talk is all he did, finally I got up and put him in his room with his tv on. I hate doing that but my G*d it was just to early for me and everyone else was sleeping (or at least trying to). Hopefully by the end of the week his sleeping pattern will be back on track. We have never had to deal with this problem before with the time changing....a first for everything I guess...

***ACCIDENT PRONE....

Is there ever an end to the drama around here? Of course not, in a house with four kids...I'm surprised it is as quiet here as it is. Little Blake (3 years old) is accident prone. He fell down a couple of stairs the other day and got a bloody nose, I could handle that....he still had his teeth and tonight he took of running again and fell going up the stairs and a bloody nose once again...he still has his teeth lol. Even though it's just a minor little injury it scares me just the same. No parent like to see their children hurt. I will give him another half hour to watch TV and make sure the bleeding has stopped completely then I will tuck him in bed for the night.Wednesday, October 24, 2007
***ONE WEEK T'LL HALLOWEEN
With one week left until Halloween night and need to make sure that all my kids have everything they need. Even though they all have their costumes they are still changing their minds on what they want to be...they change their minds like they change their socks and yes that is every day LOL well guess what kids? Your costumes are picked so put on your smiley faces and get ready to trick or treat!
***MY MORNING WITH BLAKE
I can sure tell you all that
most of my morning are filled with lots of fun with Blake around and do you think I can keep my house clean...forget it. After the cereal was spilled all over the family room floor and was somewhat cleaned up Blake thought it would be a great idea to once again turn my couch into his little cabin. Yah, sure he's having fun but when you have a cabin mess to clean up in almost every room it gets to be too much. Hey who needs toys in this house. As long as my kids are building cabins around here nothing else seems to matter. So even though I am stuck cleaning up the mess they are having a great time building and creating their cabins. I was pretty impressed with the one Blake made today...he was able to crawl in it without it falling in on him...Great job buddie:0) Your brothers will be jealous!

***PLANNING A PARTY
We are having a birthday party for Blake on Saturday while we are home visiting with family. The party plans are under way with help from Blake with no balloons in the plans...Blake requested " NO BALLOONS ALLOWED" he is scared of them for some reason...so no balloons at this party but lots of streamers and decorations and the kids will be dressing up for Halloween to add to the fun! Blake is going to be a puppy dog. The gifts are bought, the decorations taken care of now it just leaves the cake....He can't seem to decide between Shrek and Diego. I like the Diego cake better but he will have to decide and quick I will need to order it by tonight. This will be a great party with all their cousins getting together. Looking forward to the party and seeing the excitement on his face!

***MOMMY'S BOY
This weekend was the first time that I have really notice how attached Blake my almost three year old son has become since the kids have gone back to school. This has been his first one on one with mommy and he is enjoying every minute of it! The past couple of days I haven't been able to do anything because he is wanting me to sit and play, cuddle , read even dance with him and he has no patience for me putting it off, not even for a second. It was kind of cute at first but after today trying to seal off the garage door for the winter and him pulling me off to go play with him was starting to get a little annoying but I made time for him and still managed to get some work and visiting done around here.

***FINALLY TAKING A NAP
Well I tell you that for the past week Blake has been in such a terrible mood and do you think that I could get him to have a nap. Forget it! Today I wasn't taking no for an answer and put him in to sleep and within minutes he was out. Finally he will get some much needed sleep and hopefully he will be in a better mood for our company that is coming tomorrow. With him asleep and the other 3 kids in school I tell you it's some quiet here but a good chance for me to play around on the computer.

***HAPPY CHILDREN
I have to say that it's so nice to see how happy our children are after uprooting them from their friends back in New Brunswick. For kids that didn't want to go I haven't seen them this happy in a long time and to hear them comment themselves on how happy they are is just the best thing I could here. All three of my children have excellent teachers at school and have made lots of friends and the school spirit this school has is something I have never seen before. It's awesome to be a part of this school and community. I guess sometimes the hardest moves turn out to be the best!

***BLACK EYE?...

Walking up to the school this afternoon like any other day, the weather was nice, Blake was enjoying his stroller ride and looking forward to playing at the playground and with 20 minutes left before the kids were let loose from their classrooms I enjoyed some time with other parents while watching Blake play.
Out of the school comes running the kids, there's Kohl and first thing I notice while he is running down the stairs is his black eye! I was quick to head back inside to find out what had happened to him and they informed me that they noticed it when he walked through the door this morning, and that by the looks of him he could use some more sleep...what do they mean the kid sleeps 12 hours. Well I know for sure it wasn't there this morning because I put gel in his hair and washed his face before we left the house. Could I have really not noticed?....He did mention that he has fallen out of bed, maybe he hit his eye and it turned black throughout the day?... Anyway, the great news is that they get their school pictures taken tomorrow! And the bad news is that I still don't know how he got his black eye!
