The countdown is on

Only a couple of weeks left before we go off to my daughters big dance competition. The last of the costumes arrived last night and they are all hanging in my room waiting to be packed away. She is competing in over 12 dances so there is lots of different costumes to be seen. I would have to say it's a green spring as most of her costumes are some shade of green. We have some extra support this year as my Mom is travelling with us for the show, it's her first competition with us. It should be a great time for everyone and a great way to wind the year down.

BROUGHT HOME THE SILVER!

We are back from the dance competition and what a week it has been. The girls did great with their dance performance and brought home the silver! It was a great experience for her and the dance workshops were great with Sabra (winner), Kameron (top 10) from season 3 So you think you can dance! It was a long day on Thursday but we got through it.

Now that we are back we are getting back into routine around here with Jay's guitar lessons tonight, basketball practice on Thursday along with Trinity dress rehearsal for her other dance competition the weekend of the 19th. Friday is her and Kohl's hip hop dress rehearsal for the same competition then the weekend brings Jay's basketball playoffs! Wow, I can't see me getting any rest this week.

Next weekend we have nothing planned :0) the following weekend is competition followed by the next weekend my parents are coming here to visit then the last weekend of the month is the kids final dance show! I do see an end in sight...well at least until dance camp starts up. I am so looking forward to our 2 weeks away on vacation at the beach!

DANCE COMPETITION

Now with the renovations on the house taken care of we are just getting the van packed now at 10:30 at night for our trip to Trinity's dance competition. The kids are all very excited and Trinity can't wait to get there for the workshop tomorrow afternoon to dance with the some of the winners from "So you think you can dance"! She couldn't believe it when I told her that she can get their autographs and a picture with them. I will get lots of pictures posted as soon as I get a chance. Now it time to get some sleep before the fun day begins tomorrow. She doesn't compete her dance until Saturday morning. I'm sure they will do fine :0)

ROAD TRIP....

The big day for my daughter is fast approaching and next week we will be taking her to her dance competition. However when it comes to travelling with four children it tends to be a bit difficult but for this trip our worry was what are we going to do with the kids to keep them entertained so that we can enjoy watching the dance competition? No more worries! Jay wants to stay behind with his friend for the 4 days that we will be away and that is perfectly fine with his friends mother because Jay spends a lot of time their anyway. This is going to be a hard thing to do for me because Jay is going to be 12 years old next month and I have never left him with anyone when travelling out of town. I know he will be fine but I am struggling with it.

Now as for the other two boys, great news! Our sitter has offered to come along with us on the trip which will make things so much easier and the younger two boys will have a great time with her. This is where I will have to look into an online phone card so that I can call often to check up on Jay to make sure that he is alright and our sitter can call her parents when she wants to. I find it so much easier to use prepaid phone cards while travelling and I this way we won't see all the long distance phone charges on our hotel bill.

Tomorrow night is the girls last dance rehearsal before we leave so I am sure they will be worked pretty hard and I still have some last minute alterations to get done on Trinity's costume. I know what I will be doing later on tonight!

MORE DANCING...

Here are the girls (some missing) during their dress rehearsal on Thursday. They are busy getting ready for the dance competition that is being held out of town which will make for many many busy days away from home. These girls have worked hard on their dances from September right up until now to see where they will place against other dance schools around the province.

Along with the competition they will get to attend a dance workshop that is being put on by the winner of "so you think you can dance" season 3 - Sabra along with Kameron and Cedric form season 3, both top 10 dancers! This is sure to be a great experience for all the dancers.

FIRST DANCE REHEARSAL!

Well some of you may already know that my daughter is a great dancer and towards the end of April she will be attending a dance competition out of town. She is so excited and we are so proud of her and all her accomplishments! We always said that we would do anything for her when it comes down to her being able to dance and .... well...I guess that time has come :0) During this competition they are celebrating their 10th annual competition so they are putting on a birthday blast with lots of fun, treats and dancing of course, but in order for each dancer to participate in the dance that each dance school has been asked to do one of the parents must participate also. So I am getting ready to go with Trinity to our first dance rehearsal for 2pm. I will have to go pick up the sitter in a bit so I guess I should go get ready! Should be fun :0)

UPDATED (8:00PM)

Matt and our 5 year old son are joining in the fun so their is the four of us from our family! The dance is a bit of the rough side but we still have three more classes to go! God help us LOL....I might put a video of us playing around at home on my family blog. Nope I guess the video isn't going to happen this week it turned out to dark to see :0( but we had fun!
