SICK BABY...

After a long day at the amusement park yesterday (which was fun BTW...will post more later) the kids settled into bed for a good night sleep...NOT :0( Blake woke up early this morning crying with a sore ear. Great way to start off the day. We are spending it at the amusement park again today so in a few minutes I will go with my mom to the hospital to have Blake's ears checked then meet up with hubby and the kids at Crystal Palace. Hopefully Blake isn't too cranky. We will see...

BFF GOLD CARD

I have never come across a better credit card than the one I received from Petula. This is a no interest, no payment BFF Gold Card and I am giving one to YOU!

The kids are in bed and the house here is quiet. My mom works until later tonight and my dad took my son his clothes for tomorrow (spending the night at my aunts again tonight). After struggling with getting the Internet on my computer at my moms all last night and this morning we went shopping and bought a wireless router for their house. It was well worth the $40 to be able to play around on the computer and keep in touch with all of you.

Tomorrow morning we are heading to Crystal Palace Amusement park for the day and not only will it be us and my closest sister but everyone else is tagging along. Yes it's nice to have family around, Kohl will have his second cousin Noah to hang out with but everyone else is going to make it crazier than it already will be. I am sure we will survive! I am booked in with a few of the kids for the roller coaster so I will make sure that I don't eat breakfast LOL. I am tired just thinking of tomorrow. I will post some pictures of the fun when I get chance. Enjoy your weekend :0)

TIME AWAY

Here we are my parents house but the Internet connection is week so I don't know how often I will be able to update my blog. We had a great trip and the kids are glad to finally be out of the van. We arrived at my parents house to a big crowd of people for supper and went on until after 9:00pm. Jay went to my aunts house last night and will be back later today for Trinity's birthday party then he is going to a Hockey game tonight. That will keep him busy for the day! I am just getting up now (sleeping on the couch) and going to get ready to go shopping for birthday party supplies and what not and looking into how I can get better Internet. I might have to buy my parents the wireless Internet to keep up with things while away :0) It will be a busy day but lots of fun I'm sure.

CAN'T FORGET THE NINTENDO Wii

With Spring Break almost here I have been spending the morning packing and getting ready for a much needed week long vacation with the kids. We will be travelling to visit with family and we have lots of fun activities planned. I got a phone cal from my youngest sister last night asking me to bring our Nintendo Wii so that we can play Dance Dance Revolution. This seems to be the hit game for the kids. Oh yes and me too! I think that the Nintendo Wii is one of the best game systems available and everyone should have one to enjoy! Click Here for a Chance to Win a Nintendo® Wii™! and you to can get in on the fun. The winner will receive a Nintendo Wii console, 5 spots games (boxing, tennis, bowling, baseball and golf) Wii stand, 1 remote controller, 1 sensor bar, 1 nunchuck, 1 Wii AC adaptor and 1 Wii AV cable. Everything you will need to get started!

This Nintendo Wii bundle would make a great addition to any family with lots of fun to be had by all! I don't know what we would do without our Wii? This is something we do all the time as a family and we have spent many hours together as a family, from the oldest right down to my youngest who is 3 years old. We are looking forward to playing against someone different to make the games a little more challenging. Look out mom and dad here we come and bringing along some more fun!

RRRRRRoll up the RRRRRRim to win!

No I didn't win anything....LOL
I don't drink coffee and neither does my husband but it's back...Tim Horton's Roll up the Rim to win contest. I get hot chocolate from time to time but I can never manage to get the rim rolled and have to pass it on to my hubby. Well today at Zeller's I saw a key chain rim roller upper. It apparently goes over the rim, cuts it then unrolls the rim when pulled off. What a great idea for dummies or inexperienced coffee drinker like me. I should get one for myself for the odd time I get hot chocolate. Is this something you would use to roll your rim? Just looking for opinions...I think I will get one for my mom to go with her birthday gift. I hate it when she used her teeth to do it :0)

OH MY, WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

Here I am. I wasn't far it was just hard to find time to sit at the computer today with the kids home....I guess the school board over reacted to the weather forecast because it wasn't bad today and so far it's not too bad a bit slippery but we didn't get the freezing rain we were expected to get. That's perfectly fine with me. My two younger boys having runny noses and a cough so I gave them some cold medicine and put them both in for a nap. (neither one put up a fuss over it either!) So I took advantage and curled up in bed also :0) I spent a good part of the day starting to pack the kids clothes and realized that Jay needed new jeans and pj pants (now new sneakers) so we headed to the mall before Matt went to work. I got a great deal on jeans I went to the check out ready to pay $18.00(already reduced) and they rang up at $9.00. I can't complain there, too bad they were the only pair left. Anyway it's almost time to start the bedtime routine and finish the packing. We are leaving here EARLY Friday morning and it will take us 5-6 hours to get to my parents house(maybe longer we aren't in any hurry). I can't wait. Hopefully I can get my laptop working there because their home computer is the shits....lol

MY FAVORITE SUNSET

I am always so amazed at the great pictures that I come across from other blogs especially on sky watch Friday. I have always wanted to participate in sky watch Friday but there is never anything interesting enough to take a picture of the sky. Why can't I ever get good pictures of the sky...? Last week while I was browsing through my family blog I came across some sunset photos that I took last summer while camping. This is a sunset coming back from Prince Edward Island by the confederation bridge after spending the day at Shining Waters Amusement Park. This is one of my favorites! I just love the colors.

FINALLY....A MINUTE AT THE COMPUTER!

So all the excitement started Friday night after the kids hip hop class, when they took part in a church winter Bible camp. We spent from 6-8 pm singing songs, playing games, crafts, snacks and Bible stories ( I stayed to help out with Blake) then back on Saturday from 2-4pm doing the same things and again back Sunday morning from 10-12pm. Points were kept track of for prizes on Sunday but I talked it over with the kids that since all the other kids didn't have much that it would be nice for them to be able to win the big prizes (HUGE teddy bears and snowboard) they were fine with that and agreed that it was a good idea. So the kids didn't to anything extra to earn points then came award time.....Drum roll GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

First name Trinity Smith! OMG if you could have seen the look on my face, that wasn't suppose to happen??????and where in the heck am I going to put that bear?????lol Apparently she was so well behaved and polite as were my other 3 children that they got points for that as well, oops I guess I forgot to tell her to act up like the rest. Now you have to understand that this church is all older people and an attendance Sunday morning of about 12 (no seriously) they reach out to children who done have a lot and there parents aren't really there for them so for them to see our children there they were so excited to see such well rounded children join them. You never know maybe we will become a part of this church and help make a difference!

The kids had a great time and are looking forward to the summer vacation Bible school.
So yes it was busy but it didn't stop there but I was so EXHAUSTED that I was in bed sleeping by 9:00pm.
Oh what I will do for my children....Today I drove my hubby to work before the kids went to school, came back picked them up then dropped them off at school. That was hectic enough...Then I rushed home, took a shower (Blake actually let me shower alone lol) then rushed back out the door to pick up two of the kids at school, took Trinity to work with her father so that he could walk across the street to take her to her eye appointment while I went back to the skating rink to meet the school. The kids skated for an hour as a part of their winter carnival week then went back to school. (the weather here was FREEZING) left there in time to go pick hubby and my daughter up at the eye doctor to go get her new glasses done. Wow, I need to sit for a minute, McDonald's it was I didn't care as long as I was sitting. Trinity and Blake played in the play park for awhile before we rushed back to the van to take Matt back to work.

Oh I am not heading home yet....there is still more. I dropped hubby off just in time to go back to the school to pick up my little guy in kindergarten then waited for the second bell to drive some of the boys basketball team to their game at another school, which I had no idea how to get there...Thank God that by this time poor little Blake was so tired that he couldn't act up and he sat on my knee the whole time and played his v-smile games. Good news...Jays basketball team won the game 76 to 47, Way to go Jaguars!!!!!!!!!!!

Left there and drove home the two extra boys I had, dropped Jay and Trinity off home then picked Matt up at work. Finally home! Big sigh of relief! Not.....unpack book bags, start homework and supper, get the kids showered and ready for bed, watched a show with the boys then tucked the kids in bed. Yes the day finally came to an end and here I am watching a movie (Mr and Mrs. Smith) with Jay and playing around on my blog. I think I will have to let Jay watch the rest of the movie in his room and I will head off to bed :0) Sounds great!
This is just an idea of how the rest of this week is going to go! Thank God Spring break is next week. (oh wait that won't be any less busy, we are going away...sigh)

SHE LOVES HER JEWELERY

In a couple of weeks my daughter will be turning 8 years old and all she wants this year is jewelery. She has always been my little jewelery collector and seems to want something different to go with each of her outfits. I call her my girlie girl and for her birthday she will be getting what she wants and that is lots of jewelery.

To find her jewelery that is different and very unique I have turned to CrystalCrib.com where they offer a huge collection of anklets and bracelets, necklaces and pendants and I can't forget to mention their Colorful unique crystal jewelry from Asia. The best part is that if I buy two items I can enjoy discounts up to 40%. I spent a few moments browsing through the kids collection and come across the perfect beautiful little Happiness bracelet for kids with seashells that I know she will absolutely love. On of her favorite t hings to do each summer while we are on vacation at the beach is to collect shells so I am sure this would mean the world to her. I can't wait to see the look on her face when she opens this gift and I am hoping to find her a great pair of earrings to go with it as well.

AN EXTRA DAY OFF SCHOOL

Today I have all the kids home because of parent teacher interviews. I went to two interviews last night and went back this morning for my oldest sons interview. All the kids are doing well and there isn't much to worry about with them. They wanted to go to the school book fair but we always take them to the big book store when we go back home to visit family on March Break so I convinced them to wait until then to get a new book. Things are already crazy around here, there are literally bouncing off the walls so it looks like they will all have a quiet time later in their rooms with a movie. Then baby I can concentrate on my blogging. I am so behind on my blog hopping it's not funny! But it is Friday and I will have the weekend and I don't think I have any running around to do.

Happy Friday :0)

New Family

In today's hectic world when parents are desperately trying to balance family with work it can be a delicate balancing act. When a new baby comes into the family it is truly a blessing and can bring challanges for the most organized of families. The first few years of your childs life are the foundation of the rest of thier development. It has become acceptable for families to turn to professionals in child care. AuPairCare's offer Infant Specialized Care Programs that are specially designed for infants from birth to 1 year of age. Properly trained au pair's specialize in infant caregiving and development. Having this expertise can put parents at ease knowing your au pair caregiver has been specifically trained in infant specific child care, development and child CPR.

MY FAVORITE BLOG AWARD EVER!

A BLOG AWARD JUST FOR ME!
After such a long day I finally got the kids off to bed and now at almost 9:00pm it's my turn to sit down and relax. Of course there isn't anything I like to watch on tv but I have lots of blog hopping to catch up on. As I sat here on the couch with the fireplace turned on (electric) I hopped on over to visit my husbands blog and found a great award waiting there for me along with a great post that he wrote about me his wonderful, loving, stubborn at times (he didn't say that lol) wife. He had so much nice to say about me that I just had to share it with you all!
Get the tissues handy!

"My wife definitely deserves an award for being the best wife ever, so I made this one especially for her. Everyday I look at her in amazement of her beauty and remember all the good things that have happened. I have to thank her for saving me really as before I got together with her I was travelling down a dangerous path in which all I really worried about was working and going out to bars with friends. It was a bad habit that I had gotten myself stuck in where I would spend 3-4 nights a week out drinking with friends. It wasn't really something I was doing for fun but to get out I guess. Her strength and love for me made me realize there were much better things to do with my time than bounce back bottles. We have been together for 9 years now and have 4 amazing little children. There have been times when everything wasn't a rose garden you could say but the underlying love we share gets us through the hard times. She really is an amazing woman and having her with me is my grace during the hard days. I love her with all my heart and could never imagine life without her."

Isn't he just the best!

YOU ARE MY FRIEND :0)

I am so behind on posting about this great award that I got the other day from Petula. Here it is the "You Are My Friend Award"! Thank you so much :0)

I am happy to pass this award on the Jenn, Kim, Anne and Matt

A BETTER UNDERSTANDING WITH JAY'S PRINCIPAL...

I took Jay to school again this morning to see what the outcome was going to be with the school principal. He was very disappointed with the way the situation was dealt with on Jays end of things and he apologized and was glad that we had appealed the vice principals decision and very glad to hear that Jay ended up playing the basketball game. He said that none of what Jay had to go through yesterday on the discipline side of things should have happened at all. Jay went to class and continued on with his day. I stayed behind and discussed this issue further and tomorrow morning I have to meet with him again to talk with the other kids parents. This could get interesting because I am going to push for better discipline while I am there. Better yet the school principal approached me to join the school advisory council to help come up with new and fresh ideas to help the school. I accepted and am now a member of the advisory council! Yay for me I just hope I am not committing to more than I can handle.
So tomorrow I will have my last meeting (hopefully) over this incident. I think I might be seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

OYSTER AWARENESS

Here is a tongue twister for you:
A noise annoys an oyster but a noisy noise annoys an oyster more... Now say that one fast!

Ok so with the thought of oysters brings me to think about summer. I know that you can still eat seafood during the other seasons but I seem to only think of it during the summer. There are many, many people who love Gulf oysters but I am a bit nervous to eat them but when you are considering eating raw or undercooked oysters, Be Informed...Be Cautious...Be Smart...and Be Sure. Take some time to check out beoysteraware.com to learn about Vibrio Valnificus related symptoms and treatment. Could you be an at risk consumer? Something to look into!

NOT MUCH BLOG HOPPING DONE TODAY :0(

I want to apologize for not getting to visit many of your blogs today. If you read my earlier posts concerning my oldest son I'm sure you will completely understand. I am hoping to get by to visit you all tomorrow but first we have and appointment at the school in regards to the in school suspension then it's off the our appointment with the bank...that one, well I guess both appointments are making me nervous and to top it all off Jay tells me that we are to expect bad weather for the next two days and I hate travelling far on messy, slippery roads.
So please bare with me here and I'm sure in no time I will have my life straightened out again. I am still thinking of you all . You are the best!

Letting Go

One of the most daunting skills we can learn and develop as human beings is the ability to surrender or "let go" of life's hardships. The Sedona Method is an easy yet powerful way to discover your natural ability to embrace life's freedoms. The Sedona Method will allow you to transcend what is referred to as the "ego" and the "pain body". This will immediately release your inner presence allowing you to express yourself fully to yourself and those around you. As you progress through the Sedona Method you will effectively learn the four basic methods to letting go of limiting thoughts, feelings and tendencies in your person. You can discover through presence awarenessthat you would have never dreamed of once you unlock the fifth way of releasing, a true exploration of the presence of you. As you use the Sedona Method you will naturally stop conflict and distress in your life and find you possess greater harmony with your thoughts and expressions of those thoughts with others. With Sedona Method instilled in your daily being you can stop living your life based on the past or fear of the future and thrive in finding yourself in the moment you are in. Imagine the effect even just yourself letting go will have on your family or co-workers. This will be a changing effect for your life and how you live it if you allow the method to work in you.
