TGIF!

I am so looking forward to the weekend. For the first time in a long time we have nothing planned, no running around for basketball or dance. Just a quiet relaxing weekend. Ok this is what my weekend should be like as long as it rains like it is suppose to for the entire weekend. If the weather clears I will have to participate in the Mother's Day baseball game with the church youth group. We will see what happens. Hubby works tomorrow night and again on Sunday (yep Mother's Day) but as long as the weekend stays quiet I will be happy. The kids already got me an outfit for the treadmill but I will have to wait until Sunday and I am thinking of making a chicken dinner for supper on Sunday. I will let the kids help then they will think that they made supper for me. I will be expecting a big mess LOL
Yesterday we got some more yard work done. Slowly but surely it will get done. We re planted another tree and came up with a great idea for a deck for the yard which would be a lot better for the pool so now do we go ahead with the new deck and fence or look into finishing the attic? Heck why not just get a second vehicle to make things a lot easier on us LOL Oh what to do and we can only do one and that will not happen right away. What would you do?
Next weekend is Trinity and Kohl's dance competition with tonight being there last rehearsal for hip hop. Kohl is so excited to be going to his first dance competition. Trinity still has another rehearsal next Thursday for Tap, Jazz and Ballet and will compete all 3 plus her hip hop with Kohl next Friday afternoon. I can't wait to get pictures of their costumes!
Even though it is raining today I still have lots planned. I got on the treadmill this morning for an hour while talking with my mother now I am going to change the curtains from my bedroom to the living room then will have to come up with something for my room. Now making the matching curtains for the from computer room won't happen. I need to be in the right mood to tackle something like that and if I have any motivation left over I will get some more cleaning done around here. I am going through things like crazy and throwing it out!

WEATHER UPS AND DOWNS

After such a long winter I can't wait to finally see and feel the nice weather that comes with Spring. Last week we did have a couple of really nice days and while Blake was outdoors playing in the yard he came across some purple flowers! Yay, that is a good sign that Spring has sprung and there was no way I was going to let Blake pick the only flowers in our yard.
The next morning we woke up to snow, rain, cold and messy winter weather and more again last night. Today was a bit nicer but still had cold rain. We will be looking forward to the nice days this week that are forcasted for us.
How is the weather where you are? Sunny, rainy, snowy, cold??????

STRANDED ON THE FERRY....:0(

This is a picture I took the other day when we got home from our Spring Vacation. The ice is coming in to melt and making it hard for the ferry to get through!

The rain started yesterday evening and later last night is turned to freezing rain. It didn't get as bad as we were expecting and it seems with all the rain the ice in ocean is breaking up a little bit more. We live just minutes from the ferry to Newfoundland and earlier this week the ferry wasn't able to get through the ice which left passengers stranded for 60 some hours before the ice breaker was able to break a path through for the ferry. One man was taken off the boat do to a panic attack that they thought was a heart attack at the time but everyone just seemed to be happy to be back on land and continuing on their way. I couldn't image how would have felt being stranded like that no far from land. We could see the ferry from here! I sat with the kids yesterday in the van and watch the attemp of another ferry trying to leave. It successfully got through the ice but I missed it because I had to take Trinity to dance class. I am sure we will get to see the ferry break through the ice again real soon and maybe I will get some good pictures!

MESSY WINTER WEATHER...

This morning the schools were still open for students and against my judgement I sent them off to school with their father. The weather went from snow to heavy snow then quickly turned to freezing rain then heavy rain as the temperature got warmer. Well it didn't stay warm long and as it got colder out things starting to freeze. So when hubby was home for lunch I ran up to the school and brought the kids home. Better off home anyway and if I had of left them I would have had to take hubby back to work, come home, pick up the kids, come home, take Trinity to dance class, pick hubby up , pick Trinity up then come home...Sounds like too many trips on the slippery slushy roads don't you think. Everyone is home safe and now playing some Dance Revolution. Maybe next time this happens they will just cancel school or I will use my own judgement and keep them home.
