Birth defects

I always get very disapointed when I hear about drugs that were meant to help us with our health actually causing damage instead. It is even worse when the effect is seen in our children. A drug used to treat epilepsy and migrain headaches called Topamax has been linked to birth defects in children born to mothers that took the drug. The birth defect is a cleft pallet or cleft lip that don't properly fuse together during development in the womb.
