PUPPY OR NO PUPPY???????

Yep that is the question?????
Some of you might know how much my 3 year old son loves dogs. No we don't have a real one but he has at least 2 dozen stuffed puppies and all with names. He is so good with his puppies and treats them like they are real. It is just to precious...ok to my point here. My FIL just phoned me a little while ago and told me that Bel, his beagle had 7 puppies yesterday! Yay that is great but now this leaves us with a BIG decision to make. I don't want to break my little guys heart over this but getting a dog is a huge commitment and to be honest I would rather have another baby (can't happen unfortunately). I can bribe the other kids with going to Florida in a couple of years but Blake doesn't understand. Sure my FIL says that if things don't work out then we can take it back but how to you explain that to a 3 year old and the other thing I am worried about is that we are a pretty busy family and I am consider (no I AM going) to work in the fall but only in the evenings and Blake doesn't go to school until September 2009. OMG this is hard. What am I going to do.....I don't know if it's me hesitating on getting a puppy or the voice of my father always saying "you don't need a dog"..... I guess he did that every time I talked about having another baby and I had them anyway. Help, I don't know what to do. If I could have a dog just like Bel (only house trained) there would be no decision to make. She is the perfect size and very good with the kids and loves to curl up and cuddle!

RAP LYRICS

With all the dancing my kids do, I find the hardest things is finding the right and appropriate music for them and their age. My son Kohl is really enjoying hip hop this year but the teachers struggle to find the right songs. I just had a chance to review a great website that offer different types of lyrics which include Rap Lyrics. This will give us the chance to check the lyrics before downloading the song which will in return save everyone lots of time. Not only will this book great for the dance school but for my 12 year old son who is starting to get interested a many different types of music.

DADDY'S CORNER MEME...

I was tagged by Tammy to do this meme and since I have been so preoccupied lately and neglecting my blog, I thought I would make the time to get this one done.

{Start Copy Here}

Started by Mitchteryosa

Rules:

1) Copy from {Start Copy Here} to {End Copy Here}.
2) Blog 'Brag' about your husband - yes, the father of your children. As I’ve said singles may also join by bragging about their own fathers, or even grandfathers. It doesn’t matter! Of course, Daddy bloggers themselves may also join, but you have to blog about your fathers and not about yourselves, deal? Okay. Good.
3) Add your blog in the master list below linking to the post that you just made. Or if you wish, do it as how I’ve done it in my other blog by adding a new page.
4) Leave your comment here and don't forget to leave your link so you can be added on the masterlist. Yup. Here. Thanks!
5) Let’s not forget Peppermint Creative for the corner border I used for the badge.

My kids are lucky to have such a wonderful father. He is always there for them and does what he can to help make their biggest dreams come true. Whether it's watching Jays basketball games with a smile on his face and cheering him on to cuddling and tickling little Blake and spending that one on one time with him while the other kids are in school to giving Kohl that little bit extra special attention that he needs to crying at Trinity's dance recitals, he is always there to show the kids how proud he is of them. This super dad is also my hero! He helps with the cleaning, the laundry, always doing renovation projects that I throw at him, oh and my favorite he makes the kids lunches every night and gets the kids up and ready for school so that I can have a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning ( ok...the truth... I am suppose to get on the treadmill at this time).

BLAH....BLAH....BLAH....

There isn't a whole lot going on around here. Hubby went back to work this morning after being off for a week on vacation. The weather was a bit nicer and I managed to get some more painting done on the outside of the house. Yep more pepto pink! LOL Oh well what can I say the work needs to get done. I am starting to like the burgundy and I'm sure once the shutters go on the front of the house it will look fantastic. We are hoping to have all the renovations finished by the end of the summer so that we can focus on our lives more instead of what needs to be done next. We have been doing this for almost a year now and we are getting tired and running out of money, is there ever an end?
(no the step isn't staying pink, it will eventually be the same color as the door LOL)

Things are going to be slowing down here in the next few weeks. Jay's basketball team is having their final game against the girl team on Wednesday followed by a pizza party then Friday is the rehearsal for dance followed by the dance recital(s) on Saturday afternoon, evening and on Sunday then that is it for dancing until July 9th then back at it again. The school is getting ready to start the kids school field trips and spring fair. Then that will be it for school for the summer. I can't wait! I see days ahead with no running from here to there every night of the week. Yippee!

It is only 8:00am and the sun is shining! Today is going to be a really nice and a great way to spend our last visit with my family, we can actually get outside. Hubby is up and getting the outside door ready to paint (AGAIN) and I am going to set up out tent to show my parents how to set it up (they just got the same one). We have a huge list of things to do today and I am hoping that my dad as time to do some electrical work in our new bedroom before he leaves. But for now I am going to go enjoy the weather. I' ll be back later! Enjoy your day :0)

Mommy I got my HA back

What a funny one this is, as you all know it's been cool and rainy here lately, well last evening while hubby was scrapping the paint off the front door, it was open so he could get at the whole surface. Blakie and I went to the step to watch hubby work and it was a bit chilly. While we were sitting there all of a sudden Blake got right excited and started yelling look Mommy I got my "HA" back. Confused I had to ask what is his "HA". His reply he said "You know my HA" and blew out a breath with a HA and the steam came out. It had been a while since he has seen his breath, it was that cold last night. What a hilarious moment, my Hubby and I will remember this moment for years to come.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

One really impressive product out there that really lives up to it's hype is the Mr. clean Magic Eraser. It has become a staple in our home and we use it for all kinds of different uses. We use it on our smooth top stove, which was really hard to clean before we discovered the Eraser. We use it on the wood when the kids took the markers to the floor. We've used it on our van to remove road tar, sap and bug guts. Usually the hype of a product is bigger than the results but I have to say Mr. Clean got this one right and it really is a fantastic product.

We've survived the Party

Well Jay's birthday party is over and I think for the most part all went well. We only sent 1 boy home damaged, got kicked in the mouth while bouncing on the trampoline with the other boys. Normally we only allow 1 kid on at a time but with Jay being 12 we tried to allow him some le-way. By the end one of the boys also broke one of the posts on the trampoline by jumping up and grabbing it and bringing it down on him. The boys weren't long going home after that happened. Luckily my creative husband took the pole apart and re-inforced the pole with a metal pipe we had in the basement and put it all back together so what looked like a big problem turned out to be a 1/2 hour project for my "SUPER HUBBY", I'm so lucky.

House Fix Ups

Hubby was able to make it up on the roof today to fill the big hole we discovered when we finally got up into our attic a couple of weeks ago. As we stood there admiring the vast amount of wasted space in our attic, you have to crawl up through Trinity's Closet so we have never been up there. We noticed there was light coming in, there was a gap of about 6 inches in length along a seam. Hubby and my Dad got up on the roof tonight and filled the gap with some expanding foam so hoping this will fix the issue.

Personal Injury Law Firm

What happens when you've been injured by someone else's negligence in an accident. Who do you turn to, who has your best interest in mind and who is trying to save as much as possible. You have to be cautious because when dealing with insurance companies they are trying to settle for the smallest amount possible. You need to turn to help from a Omaha Personal Injury Law Firm, you can trust. Larry R.Demerath has built his career working for others to ensure they get what they deserve to help them recover from other incidents. If you find yourself in such a situation where you have been hurt by someone elses negligence ensure you call for your free consultation to be sure you know what direction you need to take.

Let the light Shine

Our new bedroom is really starting to come together, of course we still have lot's left to do but we are making progress. My family is here for the weekend and my Dad is planning on helping hubby run some electrical so we can have a few new plugs to use and possibly a light in the walk in closet/make up room. They were out this morning to get supplies but Jay's party ran a little extra long and the race is on tonight so the project will have to wait until tommorrow. With any luck they won't blow up or burn down the house.

Kids Fitness Gear

My family came for a visit for the weekend and brought some cool gifts for the kids. The entire family has been really working on becoming more fit by watching what we eat and getting more exercise. When they arrived they brought in a kids sized Treadmill, Gazelle and exercise bike. These are designed for little kids to build a love of fitness. I got up early this morning and got them built so they can exercising right beside us. Here's hoping to better health for all of us and some fun too.

It's time for a getaway

I have been dreaming of a vacation for such a long time, I don't mean just a week to go away and visit with family but a real family vacation in which we get to go away as a family and enjoy some real quality time. My hubby and I never got to have a real honeymoon, because of some pressure from our family we had to change our plans that we wanted to go on a cruise to Mexico and get married and honeymoon all in one trip. We would love to get away to the white sand beaches of the riviera Maya in Mexico. The hotel Karisma offers so many fantastic packages that no matter what you like or what you want they can find a way to make it happen for you. They believe in providing the "WOW" experience instead of just making an average event they want you to remember your vacation for a lifetime and to spread the word of their experience to encourage your friends and family want to join them as well.

ME TIME....

Well I did it. While we were out today I took some time and got my hair cut. Hubby thought I was just getting a trim but like I said I got my hair CUT! Yep it is even shorter than before and it feels great! So before I left the salon I was talking to my hair dresser about getting some highlights done to really show the cut and she suggested I go with blond and red chunks but I would come back another time. Just minutes from home after having lunch, hubby suggested that I just go get it done and not to put it off, so I headed back to the salon (25 minutes away) and got it done. I now have blond with 2 shades of red in my hair and I love it! So that is how I spent my me time today and now I am watching American Idol then heading off to bed to get some much needed rest.
I can't wait until the weekend...my mom, dad, youngest sister (16) and my aunt are coming to visit (5 hours away). They haven't been here since November and the kids are so excited. While they are here we will celebrate Jay's birthday with them and my dad is suppose to help with some electrical work in our new room. I promised him that that would be the only project for him to help with, the rest of the time will be for visiting! I promise dad LOL. Hubby has been on vacation this week and although it has been raining most of the time it is going by so fast and we didn't get any outdoor painting done. See what tomorrow will bring. It is finally suppose to be sunny and warm! Ok I have a show to watch here. Who is going to be the next American Idol?
Nighty night :0)

BOATING

I don't know if the weather will ever get nice around here but we are still hopeful to get out and enjoy the summer fun and outdoor sports. Here we live so close to the water so everyone seems to be big into boating which is something we have never done before so there is lots to learn and I will have to overcome my fear of the ocean water that surround us. Now for my neighbors and friends they are looking into getting new marine gps systems, getting ready and waiting for that beautiful, warm, sunny day to arrive to set sail. They are sure to find what they need to be ready for boating online with Big T Sport. The kids are excited to go boating for their first time and I'm sure we will have a great time. Just keep me in the boat and out of the water.

WEIGHT LOSS SUCCESS

I have a large circle of family and friends that are all trying to lose weight to lead a happier, healthier, better fit life and today I got an email from my cousin telling me that she has reached her goal weight of 30 pounds. I am so proud of all the hard work she has put into this and will be with her has she sets a new goal of 12 lbs. The best part of this circle of support for one another is that we are all doing this without the help from lap band surgery and a lap-band doctor but unfortunately there are so many people that can't do this on their own and are forced to turn to the lap band surgery to get results. Their are so many wonderful facilities out there waiting to help. You don't have to do this alone.

RAIN....RAIN....RAIN....

Sure the rain is better than the snow we got here on Sunday but my God enough is enough. The rain would be one thing to deal with but it's the cold that comes with it. At this rate I am not getting any yard work done and the kids are always stuck in the house and really starting to get bored with it. But hey on the bright side of things, the workers were back yesterday and finished the last bit of work on the new windows so they won't be back and I can get things cleaned up around here. What a mess I am in. The kids dance competition starts tomorrow so hopefully the weather will get nicer, there is nothing worse then getting the kids to the competition in costume with worrying about getting them wet and dirty.

NO CHANGE IN THE WEATHER...

Here we are the middle of May and weather is freezing cold. We did see some sun today but there was nothing warm about it. The kids have been wearing jackets to school along with gloves in the morning and I won't even consider going out for a walk. A sad thing about this kind of weather is that today we had our first cruise ship come in today and this kind of weather would make it almost impossible for the passengers to enjoy their visit. Oh and next weekend starts the camping season and you won't catch me out camping yet, for crying out loud we are still using the heat in the house.

metal maker

One of the most important parts of the manufacturing business is working with the best rollform equipment supplier available. Samco machinary has been in the roll forming business for over 35 years. They have a team of 30 engineers prepared to work with you on the design and creation of your rollfoming equipment to meet your specific needs and increase your productivity and profit lines. They are able to create quick change features for your entire line so your automation is at the push of a button. Being a Canadian Company located only 30 minutes of the internation airport means our technical associates can quickly travel to your facilities anywhere in the world. When your shopping around for a metal forming company there are things you should be looking for other than just the price, it's easy to offer a low price with no service or standard, so be aware and do your homework. It is important to know you are getting high quality, so find out if they are iso certified. You want to be sure you have a good understanding of the warranty and service levels that will be provided as you need to know what to do if something goes wrong and how fast you can expect service. You also want to know where all your components for your rollforming system will be manufactured, some companies will make compenants in different locations but the issue could be that there is no way to do a complete check of your system.

TURNING 12!

My oldest son keeps reminding me that next Tuesday he will be turning 12 years old. My God where does the time go. Which reminds me, I have lots of pictures to get organized for his birthday slide show. I love sitting back looking at pictures from when the kids were born. Jay weighed only 5 pounds when he left the hospital after 10 days. He was 6 weeks premature and so teeny tiny and now he is the same height as me, 5'4". He is looking forward to having his friends over to hang out and I will probably take him to a movie. My parents will be coming for a visit in a couple of weekends and will celebrate his birthday with them and have lots of fun...I think he is still hoping to get guitar hero for his playstation. Before I know it he will be graduating from school. If only I could turn back time! Love you Jay :0)

MOTHER'S DAY!

I want to wish all the great mothers out there a very very Happy Mother's Day!
Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day
With little time to stop and pray
For life's been anything but calm
Since You called on me to be a mom
Running errands, matching socks
Building dreams with building blocks
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes
And other stuff that children lose
Fitting lids on bottled bugs
Wiping tears and giving hugs
A stack of last weeks mail to read
So where's the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a minute,
Lord Just at the sink or ironing board
To ask the blessings of
Your grace I see then, in my small one's face
That you have blessed me
All the while
And I stop to kiss
That precious smile

MAKING MONEY

As a stay at home mother of four younger children I do my very best to find ways to help bring in some extra money. I don't want to put my children in daycare so I have been finding many ways online to help. I know that I am not the only one out there looking to make extra money so this might be of some interest to many other.

The SensiSeeds affiliate program is that easy way to make that extra money you need and want. Through this affiliate program for each purchase of White Label cannabis seeds or Sensi Seeds you will earn 20% on referral fees guaranteed and this can increase with a larger volume of sales that you make.

I encourage you to visit the SensiSeeds website to check out what they have to offer, view their photo gallery and photo competition. Everyone can use some extra cash and this very well could be what you are looking for!

TGIF!

I am so looking forward to the weekend. For the first time in a long time we have nothing planned, no running around for basketball or dance. Just a quiet relaxing weekend. Ok this is what my weekend should be like as long as it rains like it is suppose to for the entire weekend. If the weather clears I will have to participate in the Mother's Day baseball game with the church youth group. We will see what happens. Hubby works tomorrow night and again on Sunday (yep Mother's Day) but as long as the weekend stays quiet I will be happy. The kids already got me an outfit for the treadmill but I will have to wait until Sunday and I am thinking of making a chicken dinner for supper on Sunday. I will let the kids help then they will think that they made supper for me. I will be expecting a big mess LOL
Yesterday we got some more yard work done. Slowly but surely it will get done. We re planted another tree and came up with a great idea for a deck for the yard which would be a lot better for the pool so now do we go ahead with the new deck and fence or look into finishing the attic? Heck why not just get a second vehicle to make things a lot easier on us LOL Oh what to do and we can only do one and that will not happen right away. What would you do?
Next weekend is Trinity and Kohl's dance competition with tonight being there last rehearsal for hip hop. Kohl is so excited to be going to his first dance competition. Trinity still has another rehearsal next Thursday for Tap, Jazz and Ballet and will compete all 3 plus her hip hop with Kohl next Friday afternoon. I can't wait to get pictures of their costumes!
Even though it is raining today I still have lots planned. I got on the treadmill this morning for an hour while talking with my mother now I am going to change the curtains from my bedroom to the living room then will have to come up with something for my room. Now making the matching curtains for the from computer room won't happen. I need to be in the right mood to tackle something like that and if I have any motivation left over I will get some more cleaning done around here. I am going through things like crazy and throwing it out!

Silver Supply

Oil isn't the only commodity in short demand these days, I recently discovered an interesting fact, that being that over 95% of the above ground stock of silver has been used up. For over 30 years the Monex company has been servicing the needs of America in the silver industry. The Monex Company can arrange your personal silver delivery or provide safe storage for you at a bank or depository. If your looking for a high potential investment this may be the time to jump on this opportunity as the demand now exceeds the annual production and has for almost 20 years forcing the stockpile to shrink to almost zero. Monex has a large staff of professionals prepared to meet your silver needs.

A new Spark

Looking for a new outlet for your social networking, recently launched is a new website that was specially designed to bring advertisers together with bloggers to create spread the word about their campains. SocialSpark was designed by the experts at Izea and after a short period of invitation only membership it was recently opened up for the general blogging public to submit their own blogs for approval into the system. The uniques design offers different groups of opportunites from other posting sites, with sponsored posts that are developed by advertisers. There are also blog sponsorships available where you can submit to have a patch set up on your blog for a daily rate for a set period of time which fullfills the advertisers wants. The third opportunity is called a Spark and it has opportunities to work on that bring that social aspect to things. You can also request friends and build relationships with other Social Spark users which I find a really fun feature. It's relaxing when you get an opportunity because you have 12 hours to complete and submit which allows you to spend quality time on preparing your post. One of my favorite bloggers on Social Spark is Matt my husband and partner. He got me hooked on Social spark and showed me all the great ways I can make money using my blog.

MORE RENOVATIONS?......

I guess that is the question that we have been asking ourselves. So continuing on from yesterdays post....We did get up into the attic and what a mess but to our surprise there is a lot of space up there. Now for our big problem, where would we put a set of stairs leading up to the attic? Our first idea can't happen because we would walk right up into a wall so we will have to have someone come in to see what can be done. This attic renovation would give us an extra bedroom so that Blake could move to a bigger room. Although his room is made just right for him, it is teeny tiny with no room to play. We aren't going to look into the attic renovation until the family room and work on the outside of the house is finished. I think we have enough on the go!

This is Blake's room! It isn't long enough for a full twin size mattress in length, his dress is on the opposite wall with maybe four feet in between. It was the perfect little room for him a year ago when we moved in but he has grown so much and has already outgrown his little room. Hopefully the attic renovation will happen and we can move him to another room. Fingers crossed!

YARD WORK...

Finally we have a day with no running around that needs to be done and the sun is shinning so we are enjoying the day outside getting yard work done. Since last summer I have been wanting to replant one of the trees from the back yard to the side under the living room window and now it is done thanks to the boys. I have another tree to replant somewhere different but I''m not exactly sure where to put it? Anyway things are getting done around here and later on today we will focus on getting the winter clothes packed away and then take a look up in the attic to see how much space in up there. If it is big enough we will consider turning it into another bedroom but that will mean a lot more work to be done. Right now there isn't any stairs to get up there just a little whole in Trinity's bedroom closet.
Tomorrow the work on the window installation will be finished and I am looking forward to having my house put back together.
