We've survived the Party

Well Jay's birthday party is over and I think for the most part all went well. We only sent 1 boy home damaged, got kicked in the mouth while bouncing on the trampoline with the other boys. Normally we only allow 1 kid on at a time but with Jay being 12 we tried to allow him some le-way. By the end one of the boys also broke one of the posts on the trampoline by jumping up and grabbing it and bringing it down on him. The boys weren't long going home after that happened. Luckily my creative husband took the pole apart and re-inforced the pole with a metal pipe we had in the basement and put it all back together so what looked like a big problem turned out to be a 1/2 hour project for my "SUPER HUBBY", I'm so lucky.

***BLAKE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!

So we celebrated Blake's 3rd birthday on Saturday with a family Halloween party! All the kids showed up in their costumes and had a really great time. My mom put out her Halloween costume box just in case someone forgot to wear their costume and the kids and a great time trying on different costumes, even my aunt got in on the fun. They kept so busy doing that and coloring the Halloween coloring sheets that we didn't have time to play the party games. They had fun and that's all that matters :0) The costumes stayed on until the end, they enjoyed the hot dogs and fries and not one piece of cake was left over. This year Blake decided he wanted to read his own birthday cards, it was so cute, he loved all his gifts and he made is speech at the end of the party thanking everyone for coming.

***PARTY SUPPLIES

Well this is the big day. Blake is getting ready to celebrate his 3rd birthday with a Halloween family party. Blake just left with his daddy and Papa to go get the last few party supplies that we forgot. The house is looking spooky and the excitement is building. Looking forward to getting lots of fun pictures of the kids.

***THE EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING

Wow, the time has finally come that we are going to make the journey back home (five hour drive) to visit with our family. Before we moved we would visit every second weekend but now with the longer drive we plan our trips a little more carefully. So here we go, this is going to be the weekend to visit and while we are there we will be celebrating Blake's 3rd birthday with a Halloween party with all the family. It will be a great time and a great way to visit a lot of the family at once. I am so looking forward to our visit and so are the kids, they are running around the house gathering the things they will be wanting for the trip and the things Nana and Papa forgot last time they were here visiting. I guess I should go get some things packed before they leave me behind. LOL

***PLANNING A PARTY

We are having a birthday party for Blake on Saturday while we are home visiting with family. The party plans are under way with help from Blake with no balloons in the plans...Blake requested " NO BALLOONS ALLOWED" he is scared of them for some reason...so no balloons at this party but lots of streamers and decorations and the kids will be dressing up for Halloween to add to the fun! Blake is going to be a puppy dog. The gifts are bought, the decorations taken care of now it just leaves the cake....He can't seem to decide between Shrek and Diego. I like the Diego cake better but he will have to decide and quick I will need to order it by tonight. This will be a great party with all their cousins getting together. Looking forward to the party and seeing the excitement on his face!

***BIRTHDAY GIFT???

O.K so I need a little help here with this one. My very excited 11 year old Jay came home from school today with an invitation to a birthday party for "Gabby" yes it's a girls birthday. It's at our local bowling alley just up the road from us this Saturday afternoon. Great no problem there....but what do I get her? I don't want him showing up with a cheesy gift. Any suggestions would be great! As of now I am thinking of putting money in a card...who doesn't like money right!
