Who's that Number

We've all been there, we hear the phone ringing and when we look at it you don't recongize the number on the display. Who could it be, would it be something important or a telemarketer calling to harrass you again. You can now do a reverse look up with just a phone number through USA Phone Lookup. Find out who belongs to that phone number before deciding on calling it back on not. Use this service with confidence that it will help you with your search, with real results.

Happy New Year

Well with the final hours of 2008 ticking away I am getting ready to have a wonderful New Years Eve party at my InLaws home. We have had a wonderful week of visting between the grandparents homes, with lot's of great meals and catching up. I'm looking forward to a great year next year with filled with lot's of fun, dancing, family, a great trip to NY with Trin, and a new Van for me, the downside I got my permanent position at work so I'll have to fit all that in around my shifts at work. I know I'll make it work with the love and support of Hubby and the kiddies. Happy New Year to all and to all a good night!

My Christmas gift to myself

I am so excited that Christmas is now behind me, while I had a lot of fun this year getting gifts and celebrating Christmas with the kids, I have been in desperate need of glasses to help me at my new job. Working at the call centre has been a great experience for me but looking at a computer screen for hours a day can sure be hard on my eyes. I have broken down and begun looking for frames that I would like, seeing as I have never work glasses before it was hard for me to make this decision but after looking at the great assortment of Holiday frames available at ZenniOptical it has become a lot easier. I think I have decided on this pair of glasses which are great as they are available in my favorite color"pink" and are made from bendable titanium to ad security to me as with a busy lifestyle like mine with work and the kids I can see my glasses getting a lot of abuse and they need to be able to stand up to it all. I never thought shopping for eyeglasses would be so easy but with the great assortment and even more important great prices that are available it was a breeze for me to select a great pair for myself.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Well it is finally here! It is now 12:00am Christmas morning and I am just about ready to head off to bed so that Santa can make is visit to our house! It was without a doubt a very busy day full of running around to get the last minute things taken care of. I tell you that getting ready for Christmas and working a full time job really does make things a lot harder but I survived, well so far, LOL I just have to get through tomorrow excitement :0)
After all the running around and finally getting hubby home from work, we all settled on the couches in the family room with our supper, (donairs and garlic fingers from the pizza joint MMMM) while watching the new Chronicle of Narnia, Prince Caspian DVD. Without having family around to visit the kids then watched "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" that was on tv while coloring Christmas pictures then it was off to bed! Oh yeah we let the kids open one gift before they went to bed....just a practice run for tomorrow :0).....So you can say that today was a full day!
Tomorrow's agenda is the unwrapping of the gifts and then lots of fun. We had to change our plans for our Christmas Turkey until earlier tomorrow because the movie theatre only has evening shows playing this year, I think we are going to see "Bedtime Stories" and then tomorrow we will go back to see "Marly and Me". Ok speaking of movies I have to say that this evening when Jay's best friends mother dropped off a Christmas card to the family I was surprised, inside the card was movie gift cards for $50 along with a $50 gift card to Boston Pizza! She said it was her way of saying thanks for letting Matthew (jay's friend) come here everyday for lunch (he always brought his own packed lunch) and for Jared her youngest son who comes home from school with me and the kids everyday for about an hour. It's a great feeling to feel appreciate when you aren't expecting anything in return! :0)
Anyway that's about if for now I have an early morning ahead of me so it's off to bed, Funny I haven't heard from my mom yet????? Oh well I guess she's busy, I will have to call her tomorrow!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
ENJOY THIS TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY AND HOPE THAT SANTA FINDS YOU!

It's almost here! Christmas is only a few days away and I am happy to say that we are finally ready! We do have a few little things to pick up at the last minute but that is always the way with us. Anyway I have been trying to get my blogs updated my I haven't been getting along real well with our new picture program that was installed on my laptop from our new printer/scanner. I think that I have finally been able to download my video so I will spent the next little bit working on my blogs. I have lots to catch up on but probably wont have it done before I go to work in a couple of hours, so you may have to check back tomorrow some time. There are lots of dance video from parent night along with lots of pictures of the kids. Most will be put on my Family Blog so pop over for a visit!
Hope all is well with everyone! I miss you all!

Searching for a new career

Thinking about a career that can withstand the tough economic times it's a great opportunity to look into cosmetology colleges. No matter what the economic outlook is it is a given that people will always want to look their best and for many that means regular trips to their specialist. One of the best and growing schools is the regency beauty school which has grown from 2 schools in 2002 to over 30 schools with plans to grow accross the country. This is a career that has a lot of security it you learn your craft and are able to speak well to people. It can be a lot of fun working directly with people and having them give you their trust in their appearance. Check out more information on the courses and locations at regencybeauty.com.

Finally a real snow

It hit here today, a real snow and the beautiful part it is supposed to stay cold enough that it isn't supposed to melt. I actually had to go out and shovel the driveway and the kids got out to enjoy the fun. Jay built a snow wall for the dog to use for her business in the yard. It was great to get out and get some exercise and of course fun with the kids. It's still snowing so lucky for Hubby he will get to do some shoveling too when he gets home from work. It's starting to look a lot like Christmas!

Securing your Retirement

Sometimes even though we think we are doing all we need to secure our retirement income once the time arrives to retire there isn't enough income to make everything work. There is a program developed to help people over the age of 62 unlock the value in their home and help them by using reverse mortgages to secure income every month. The concept is quite easy to understand, you borrow against the value of your home and get a payment every month and as you are basically borrowing money from yourself you do not make any repayments as long as you live in your home. There are many Reverse Mortgage Benefits you get monthly payments, you get to tap into the value of you home when you can best enjoy it, you make no repayments until you pass away or move out of your home, and you receive counseling to ensure you understand all the details of your reverse mortgage. The process is quite simple if you meet the age requirement, 62, and own you home you may qualify for a reverser mortgage, the amount you can borrow against would be the current market value of you home minus any balance owing on your property. Going into retirement doesn't have to a be a scary experience, you've spent your lifetime building equity in your home you should be able to access it. If you are in the California area check out reverse mortgage California for more details.

Christmas Vacation

I'm getting excited the kids are starting Christmas Vacation this Friday, they will go to school for a 1/2 day and then we will find something interesting to do for the afternoon. I believe I am working in the evening but we will be out getting some shopping finished up in the afternoon. I think hubby and I will get the stocking stuff picked up with a dollar store run on Friday. The kids stockings are done but ours aren't finished up yet so we will take the kids out to get some stuff. The big part of Christmas shopping is all done so that is great. I'm looking forward to a few fun days with the kids before Christmas and we will be going away to visit with family after Christmas for a few days. Merry Christmas to all

Reliable transportation

With my new job going well and looking like it will be becoming permanent it will soon be time to look for a second vehical to eliminate some of the extra running around we have been doing lately. One of the big concerns we have is that the warranty will soon be running out on our van and with that will come extra costs for repairs that we haven't been used to the last few years. We are debating on whether we should by a new or used vehical for the spare one. We began to search for a parts supplier to help us when we need repairs done on the van and came accross the website devoted to giving the best deal on car parts whether new or used. Peugeot Car Parts prides itself on finding the parts you need faster and cheaper than any other service available. In just a few short steps you can get a quote for the parts you need and with their reliable check service you will be sure to get the right parts no matter what make, model and year you have you will get the right part. You can find reliable pricing on all types of vehical from SUV's, cars, trucks if it rolls on 4 wheels more than likely you will find the parts you need fast. The site is easy to use and is completely secure to complete your online transactions fast and efficiently.

Working it out

Well it is certainly busy season at my work and I have been working a lot of hours lately, even going on 9 days straight. I am looking forward to taking a day off tommorrow and just have to get through my 7 - 1 shift tonight. It keeps me going knowing that it will soon be Christmas and I am taking a week off to spend with family and than things should quite down after Christmas with less orders coming in at work. The hours and $$$ are nice at Christmas but I miss the evenings tucking the kiddies into bed and spending time with Hubby :0( He's taking a lot of extra work with the full day of work and running the kids around to activities and picking me up at work (late) and normally letting me sleep in when he's off or working at lunch time. I am sure looking forward to the week off for both of us from work.

making connections

Being fairly opiniated I like to be able to share my thoughts on different topics. With having a large family we are true consumers and purchase a lot of normal everyday things. I recently discovered a great site where I can share my opinions with other people that use the same types of items that I do. This site is called acobay and although it is a fairly new site it is gaining members everyday, there are thousands of people out there that are sharing opinions and reviews on various products. It can be a great resourse when you are thinking of making a purchase because you can get honest opinions from other people that have actually purchased and used the item you are thinking about getting. My first stuff review was of my prepaid cell phone that I got last year for Christmas, if you would like to see what I had to say about my prepaid cell phone from President's choice check out the link to my cell phone to get the scoop on my opinion. I think this will become a great resource for people all around the world to get and share their thoughts on items that they use everyday. It's a great way to use social networking to find real information and opinions on items before you purchase.

STRESSED TO THE MAX....

With it getting so close to Christmas I can feel myself starting to fall apart. One of the hardest things for me at Christmas is being soooooo far away from family but I keep telling myself that the holiday will be great and we will be home with family soon. Well I thought I was handling it pretty good until today, we have almost all our shopping done but it's just deciding on the last few things (shopping for Grandma), I can't seem to think clear and I am exhausted with all the extra work and running around. I am NOT going into work this evening (it's my night off) and that is the last place that I want to be right now and that has nothing to do with the team I work with....This afternoon was my work's team secret santa and pot luck party, well I was off today but said that I would go in to participate and ended up going in early to help out with getting things prepared. Oh yeah and it ended up costing me more money running around to buy things that we still needed. So I sent Matt off to McDonald's with Blake before Matt had to be at work and that I would meet up with them as soon as I could. So all was going well then it was time to go get Blake but the party was delayed by a half hour do to the call volume so I made arrangements so that I could bring Blake in with me for about 20 minutes, Just long enough to enjoy pot luck and get my gift! ($20 to the movies!!!!) So in came Blake looking all cute with his new reindeer hat and excited to get to see where mommy works for the first time. Well he was with me not even a minute when human resource (who was invited to join our pot luck)yelled over to me that he wasn't aloud there and that I would have to leave, then she looks at Blake and says" you have to leave so you don't get your mom in trouble"...the person I would get in trouble by would have been her... What a bitch!!!!!! (oh and she is new) Don't tell me that kids aren't aloud in there on the rare occasion because they were aloud in there for Halloween???? GRRRRRRRRRR I was pissed and I was left to be the one to explain to Blake that he wasn't in trouble and I was very very proud at how quiet and good he was while at my work then he started going on how he got me in trouble at work. Anyway I took Blake back to Matt (who was busy working at this point) who was also pissed at the situation and I returned to the party (which I shouldn't have, I should have just come home) by then I was in no mood to enjoy myself and had no appetite to eat, I received my gift, helped hand out the gifts then I left. I all could think of was leaving Blake with Matt upset. Anyway my head is pounding and I still have to return to the mall to pick up the things I didn't have time to get this morning then pick Matt up at 10pm. I tell you that I will be so ready to curl up in bed tonight! Anyway I should go get Jay off to his friends house for the night then off to the mall.
That's enough ranting for now.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Christmas Countdown

With less than 2 weeks to Christmas I have found myself running out of time to get all my Christmas shopping done. It has been a extremely busy fall and now that it is crunch time I am finished pretty well everything except my hubby, now he is particularly hard to buy for so I thought this year I would take a different approach and get him things he really needs but won't spend money on. The biggest thing that would be a great improvement is new eyeglasses he has had the same pair of persriptions glasses for 10 years now and they are looking worn out, bent, paint worn off so I started looking for options for new glasses. I was able to find great deals on eye wear online that would allow me to get him his gift ready before Christmas with their free shipping and fast glasses delivery program. Optical4less offers great styles and options and also allows you to use their virtual try on room to get a better idea what the glasses will work for you. I think he will be very pleased with my considerate gift that will allow him to update his style (much needed). I think it will be great to see his excitement on Christmas morning so wish me luck.

WHAT A MESS....

......FIRST OF ALL CAN YOU BELEIVE THAT 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY IS CHRISTMAS EVE!
What a mess I woke up to very early this morning. I ran to the noise that I thought was Blake being sick, I ran to the kitchen on my way to him crabbed a bowl (he doesn't like to throw up,...gross I know....In the toilet) when I turned around all I saw was blood. He had the worst nose bleed ever. Now nose bleeds aren't unusual for him but nothing this bad. I quickly got the bleeding under control then got him cleaned up but what a mess. Luckily he went back to sleep once we were sure it had stopped and he did manage to sleep in until just after 8 this morning! Needless to say that we had a lazy morning together but it was much needed.
Tonight the Trinity and Kohl have there school Christmas concert so that is where I will be tonight. Trinity got the night off from dancing class for having perfect attendance and I think it will be a nice break for her and I have the night of from work....well at least until the concert is over, I'm sure to be called in for extra hours. I have been working every night lately until 1 am and expect that to be my schedule the rest of the week and possibly next week. The schedule looks good for me over the Christmas holiday so we should be able to go home to be with family after boxing day! Now we just have to hope that the weather co operates! Fingers crossed!
The snow is gone already :0( we woke up this morning to rain and high winds with a temperature of 14 degrees. It looks miserable outside right now!
OK I guess I should go get supper ready and then the kids for this evening.

A step in the right direction

Often wanting to find information on different things I have been searching for a one stop place to find real Product Review information. With working and balancing life with 4 children I don't have time to search all over the place so it was great to find reviewkings where I can find honest reviews of all sorts of things from entertainment, computers, products and much more. I was recently searching for information on spyware for our new computers and was quickly able to access different information to try and find the best value for my money.

OUR FIRST SNOW FALL!

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS.....

We woke up to falling snow this morning and right now the ground is covered! It is finally starting to feel like Christmas :0) The kids were excited to see the snow and were hoping for a snow day but unfortunately the snow had just started so off to school they went! Hopefully when they get home this afternoon there will still be snow on the ground!

When Breigh went out to do her morning business she wasn't too sure of the snow, it took some time before she would go off the driveway onto the lawn but once she braved the cold white snow I couldn't get her to come back in the house LOL Maybe she will go out and have fun with the kids later this afternoon. :0)

I spent the morning getting some cleaning done and will try to get some rest with Blake before going to work at 3pm things are getting busy and I have been picking up quite a few extra hours which will make for a nice last pay check before Christmas!

HAVE A GREAT MONDAY!

Friday, December 5, 2008

Oh my God, where have I been, I didn't realize until I looked at my last post that I hadn't updated this blog or probably my other in that matter since Monday. What a week. I have been working non stop and am now working into overtime hours at work. My next pay check (and last before Christmas) should be a good one but I am looking forward to the break from work over the Christmas holidays!
Well now, on Wednesday I spent the morning baking cookies with Blake (and they are sooooo goood) but we didn't have enough time to put the icing on and we still needing some ingredients at the grocery store. So yesterday before heading off to work Blake helped me put the icing and sprinkles on the cookies so that I could take some to work! I can tell you they didn't last long in there LOL I have a lot more baking planned in the next little while and Jay wants me to try a recipe he got from cooking class at school so chocolate chip cookies will be next on the list. Oh and how can I forget (my fridge and freezer are full) the cookie dough order from Trinity's fundraising came in Wednesday night so we have to get it all delivered and sooooon. I seriously hurt my back Wednesday night getting all the cookie dough organized and carried out to the van and it's only getting worse , not any better GGRRRRRR! I think once I get the kids home from school that will be it for me (well at least until I get called into work for extra hours) but that won't be until the boys are sleeping. Got to love the flexibility with this job! Ok I must go for now

Take care

HERE WE ARE...DECEMBER 1ST!

What a great weekend! My parents came to visit Thursday night and we went none stop the entire time they were here. Friday night Zellers (retail store that hubby manages) had a great midnight madness sale, hubby had to work, my dad stayed home and watched a movie with the boys and I went shopping with my mom, my daughter Trinity and my sister, we were there from 5pm until 10:30pm. My mom wanted to get Trinity a 3 piece luggage set that was on special ($100 for $30) but the catch was there was only 6 sets and the sale only started on the luggage at 8pm so I stood there until 8pm to get the luggage and yes I got one, a purple set at that! We got a lot of shopping done Friday and again Friday night, I tell you when we got back we were more than ready for bed. Saturday the boys had dance classes so my mom got to go watch them dance, Kohl is doing so well with his dancing, my mom made a comment during Kohl's ballet class that he didn't get a turn on the music box in their dance choreography, so I told her that he didn't get to do the music box, he got to do all the girls LOL well that didn't quite come out the way I meant it too but his dance teacher got a laugh... Now what I did mean was that he got to have all the turns twirling and holding the girls hands LOL anyway we all got a laugh. Later that afternoon my sister and her 3 girls plus 2 others came here for a visit. What a house full that was. They didn't stay long with having very tired kids so they headed back to her boyfriends parents house and we went over to visit after supper. It was a great night visiting and lots of laughs. I tell you by the end of another busy night we were all off to bed. My parents left yesterday morning so we got ready and went to the park for our Christmas family pictures. I know that next year we are going to get them done earlier when it's a lot warmer so we can take out time and not look so frooooozen! They didn't turn out too bad :0) I will have more pictures posted on my FAMILY BLOG!!!Come check them out!!!!
This is going to be Another crazy week and I am working almost 40 hours. Christmas is getting closer and the shopping is almost done and I will get some more wrapping done later today (if I don't end up back in bed lol)
Anyway I hope you had a great weekend and I will try to get some blog hopping done!

A GREAT WEEKEND AHEAD!

Glitter Graphics

First of all, I would like to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my American blogging buddies! Hope you all have a great day with your family!

This week is flying by.... I have been working longer shifts since Sunday which hasn't allowed much time to get things done around here. Hubby was off on Tuesday so we spent the morning Christmas shopping (picking up layaways), had lunch than came home and got a lot of Christmas wrapping done! :0) Yesterday I was off so we got our monthly grocery order done early before hubby went to work, after that I have no idea where the time went. I got Trinity off to her Dance Power class then home to get the kids in bed. The first time I got to sit back and relax all day was at 10:00pm when me and hubby curled up on the couch and watched Trinity's new DVD...."Radio City Christmas Spectacular, starring the Rockettes!" What a show!!!!!! anyway Today I have tons of things to get done, My parents and sister are coming tonight and won't be here until midnight but that is no big deal because I work tonight from 8-12 so I should be getting home the same time they arrive. I think my sister and her boyfriend and kids are coming also to visit with his parents that live near us so I'm sure that at some point this weekend it's going to get crazy! Ok I guess I should go for now I have lots of bedding to get washed and a messy house to clean.

Trying to make my goal

Fbd

I have been working all year on getting back to my pre kid body, it has been a challange and I must say I have a weakness for take out but I am getting pretty close to my goals looking for another 5-10 pounds but I am hitting a slow down period that is making it harder to lose weight and my biggest enemy is around my belly. I began to search for information on how I can better target my problem area and came accross information on the Flat Belly Diet. This program is designed to teach you the right foods loaded with disease fighting "good fats" to accellerate your fat burning metabolism. It's important to find the right balance of these fats with every meal to get your maximum burn. In an exciting offer right now they are offering a limited number of free books to people interested in winning back their stomachs. If your interested in the program and are willing to blog about your progress with others you can be eligable for the free book. If you successfully complete the program you will be eligable for a 1 year membership to the flat belly website and could also become eligable for the "success story" club.

Here it is! I finally took a picture of our tree! We went with the blue and silver again this year because of all the extra dance costs this year I couldn't really afford to buy all new ornaments. Maybe next year we will change the colors to Burgundy and Gold????

We just got in from watching the Santa Claus Parade. It was short but that was a good thing because it was sooooo cold outside. No rain or snow but just cold. This year there was three times the cartoon characters that we had last year which was pretty exciting for the kids! I just heard from Jay a few minutes ago...they got their butts whipped again today at their basketball tournament but with any luck they will do better tomorrow!

Well that is it for now I have lots of cleaning to do and then get myself ready for hubby work Christmas party! Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Getting back into the workforce

Now that I find myself with kids that are going off to school it is time for me to start thinking about what I can do for a career after being a mom. I am just getting back to work now but long term I am going to look into going back to school so I can make more of a career. I am starting to look into Beauty School to find out what options I would have after completion. I have found a lot of information online to help me and have even been able to locate some schools that are not too far from where I live. I think it would be exciting to help people feel good about themselves while making a career for myself. The first step is to get registered for Beauty School and then we will see what else will happen.
Things keep getting better and better everyday when I go into work. We were offered a bonus incentive for verbiage calls to make them sound more positive and for every "back ordered item" which we aren't allowed to call it back ordered...anyway if we said it in a positive manner we would fill out a ballot for a draw. Well looky here, it paid off and my name was pulled for a $100 gift card to the mall! Once again, hard work pays off :0) Ok enough about work, I have today off and also got tomorrow off WITH pay for working Nov 11th so I will be going to the Christmas party with hubby!
I spent the morning going to parent teacher interviews, I just got home...the kids are doing well and I noticed Jay's name on the honor list at the school. I am soooo proud of him. His phys ed. teacher told me that he had the highest mark in phys.ed from all her grade 7 students! Trinity is a bit chatty in class but that doesn't surprise me one bit so that is something along with her math that she will have to work on. She has mostly B's, 2 A's and 1 C(in math). Kohl is doing super this year and his teachers only complaint about him is that he NEVER puts his shoes away at the end of the day. LOL no surprise there either. He had 7 A's and 2 B's. what an improvement from last year!
So as you can see I go none stop even on my days off and I still have lots more to do today. Jay has bowling at 3pm then off for a basketball tournament for 5pm which is over 30 minutes away so we will go and watch his first game!
I should take the next few minutes and try to get some cleaning done before we head out once again.
have a great Friday!

SHE'S UNDER THE WEATHER :0(

Not much new here today. Trinity is home getting some much needed rest. She has been complaining about a sore throat and was up throughout the night. She is just waking up now and it's 9:30am. She is going to have breakfast then go back to her room, curl up in bed and watch a movie then have another rest this afternoon. she has dancing tonight but we will wait to see how much rest she gets today. Well that's it for now so I think I might take a lazy day and curl up on the couch with everyone else/

Hubby had the morning off from work so I went and got my hair cut and we spent the rest of the morning walking around Walmart. I put a few little things on layaway and picked up something for hubby for Christmas. I finally got started on the stocking stuffers , one kids at a time so I got Jay's done today and will to another one maybe tomorrow on my supper break at work. I got through my training yesterday. Pretty easy....I guess the hardest part to all the training was getting out the opening line LOL what a laugh that was. Anyway I'm not going to stress over this permanent position for now and see how things play out. I have many other things to focus on right now.
The weather here is miserable :0( it is raining and raining hard....at least it's not snow because it would be quite the storm. I can't wait to pick the kids up at school. Today is report card day. I know they are all doing well. All the kids got off to a great start to the school year and I hope that this continues. I have never seen the kids so happy!

THE COUNTDOWN CONTINUES...

We are another day closer to Christmas, only 38 days and I'm not getting any closer to being ready. I haven't started Christmas baking yet but will probably get the baking good next week with our groceries! Payday is this week so what ever is left from paying for dance competitions (if any) I will pick up a few more things and hubby gets paid next week so we will get a lot picked up then. I still have no idea what to get the parents????we wanted to get them electric fireplaces but that was before dance started costing us an arm and a leg LOL(but it's worth it) I'm sure we will think of something!
Work is at it again.....I have MORE training this afternoon for ANOTHER account, so here I go again, out of my comfort zone and they still can't promise me a permanent position. I'm sure it will end up that way considering I noticed that only 2 of us from my temporary training class are on with a full time permanent supervisor not the temp. supervisor. Fingers crossed that things will work out after Christmas.
Matt has his staff Christmas party on Saturday but unfortunately I have to work and Saturday is also the kids Santa Claus parade BUT I just remembered that work owes me a day off with pay for working Nov.11th so maybe I will see about getting Saturday off then I can do both, the parade with the kids then the party with hubby ;0)
well that is all for now I have to go get ready for work!
have a great Tuesday to you all.

SICK BABY?

Blake woke up this morning not feeling well and looking a bit white in the face, luckily so far that is as far as it has gone. I hope he isn't coming down with the flu bug because that is the last thing we need around here. He is still being a royal pain in the butt so I think he will be fine and we will probably go curl up on the couch with a movie. I think I will forget about the popcorn for today.

****I just checked on him wanting a picture for this post and looky here, all smiles. I guess today is going to be better than it had started ****

Last night was crazy with the really high winds we had, I missed out on all the excitement of the blowing trees and rain because I was working and when I was off it had calmed right down. When I got home I found things blown around the backyard, the basketball net was down, what a mess ;0( so I will have to find time today to get things cleaned up around the yard, thank God it's warm outside, a bit windy but yet warm and I have a feeling that we aren't going to have snow this year for Christmas, but what can you do???? This Saturday coming is our Santa Claus Parade so I will have to finish the Christmas decorating on the front of the house. The days are going by soooo fast!~

Can you believe that there is now only 39 days left until Christmas!

I am so proud of Trinity! She has been working hard fundraising for her trip to New York next summer and Saturday she sold 4 cases of bars at hubby's work and has been collecting pop bottles for recycling. My work has been great with giving me the bottles to bring home to her and she spends her time counting and sorting the bottles to take in to the recycling depot. So far she has collected over $100 in bottles in the last month. Every little bit helps! She has fund raised over $700 for her trip since October. She's off to a great start!

CAMERA CRITTERS

It was a rainy day yesterday so we didn't do much other than stay in the house. My husband took our daughter out to sell chocolate bars for her dancing at his store so I stayed home with the boys and watched a movie. When I came back into the room from getting them a snack this is what I found on the couch! Kohl and Breigh having cuddle time! Our puppy is really starting to fit in with our family and she is getting more freedom to roam through the house which is so much better than being on the chain or in the kennel. We have been finding her at nights curled up sleeping in the kids beds, last night I found her in Blake's bed all curled up under is blankets. God only knows where we will find her sleeping tonight!lol

More Education

Now that the kids are starting to get a little older, my youngest starts school next fall, I am beginning to look at options to upgrade my education. Now it's still important for me to be able to be available for my kids when they need me to so to find a balance of the right thing for me and them weighs on my decision. I have discovered online university courses that allow me to be flexible with my education. Capella University is an exclusively online university helping students all around the world to improve their education. Offering Degree programs in business, technology along with many other areas as well.

DEAR SANTA,

The kids have been busy getting their wish list ready for Santa and Kohl my 6 year old son has been asking for dinosaur named Kota! Well I thought he was talking about the one he had seen in the Sears Cat. but I was mistaken. The other day while at hubby's work I noticed on the shelf this huge dinosaur that a child can actual sit on, it roars, moves and so on but this thing costs $300. I hate to spent the money on it because I know that it would be just a matter of time before it was forgotten then sold the following summer in a yard sale. I hate to break his heart Christmas morning but that is a lot of money. I think he thinks that the dinosaur really walks while he is on it but it doesn't. I am hoping that he will come up with another idea that is just as cool only less expensive!

WHAT A MISERABLE DAY

It has rained her all day which means that we didn't get our outdoor Christmas lights hooked up :0( I love my Christmas lights and can't wait to turn them on but it will have to wait until tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Not much going on here, just the usual work, work and more work followed by basketball, bowling and lots of dance classes. Trinity has been busy selling chocolate bars for her trip to New York next summer and she sold 4 cases of bars this afternoon at hubby's work. Hopefully by next weekend she will have all 300 bars sold then we can take a break from fundraising for a bit. (yeah right!) So I am now home from work and will head off to bed really soon to try to get some rest. I am feeling really tired lately and all I want to do is sleep ZZZZZZZZZZZ Where is all that energy I use to have?

Getting the extra nudge

With any workout program eventually if you don't mix things up your body will start to slow down in weight loss. I am looking for options to jumpstart my program again and began to look into products and ideas I could use to help to my program to the next level. I do a lot of walking/running on my treadmill so the extra help I was able to find are weight vests. These vests are designed to add extra weight to your body for your workout increasing your calorie burn, and rising your metabolism. These vests are designed to adjust to any size and can be used for a variety of workouts, yoga, walking, running, arobics, or even just to wear during your daily activity to increase calorie burn.

IT'S BEGINNING TO FEEL A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

It is hard to believe that we are already November 13th and Christmas is just around the corner! We got a head start on the gifts so we thought but with the few number of paychecks left I am starting to panic. We have all the kids big gifts purchased and most of their clothes with leaving some of the smaller things they are wanting and then our parents, we have no idea what to get them...ok we have lots of ideas but they are all expensive...and... OMG the kids still haven't written their list to Santa. Next weekend is our Santa Claus Parade which was fun last year and we didn't have to go anywhere but our front yard to see it so the parking was great! Then after the parade I am off to work then later off to hubby's work Christmas party! Yay!!!! It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! :0) I am hoping to have the decorating finished over the weekend and the house clean, my parents are coming for a visit in a couple of weeks and we are all looking forward to seeing them! Well no snow here yet! (other than the snow at the first of the month) The weather has been really nice and pretty warm for November.
Ok I am going to try to set me a goal for my weight loss once again. Hopefully with Christmas coming I will get motivated to get a few pounds off. My goal right now is to lose 5 pounds by Christmas. Wish me luck because my all time favorite burger has returned to Wendy's AND my daughter has 10 cases of chocolate bars here in the house to sell for her dance trip and they are really really gooooooood!
REMINDER TO SELF.....get family pictures done for Christmas cards......you are running out of time!

FAMILY TIME!

Today the kids had the day of from school and hubby had the day off from work so this afternoon we decided to take the kids to see Madagascar 2! It was a fantastic movie that had us laughing through the whole movie ;0) The next movie on our list is going to be Marly and Me which comes out Christmas day, it looks like it is going to be really funny and is all about a dog, The kids are excited to see this one.

So here I am doing up this quick post before I head off to work for the night. The nights seem to be going by faster now that we are finally getting busy and tomorrow I have the day off!!!!!

SAY WHAT?????

I have been fighting this cold for a few days now but I think it's going to win the battle. It's all in my throat and yesterday when I woke up I couldn't talk but got better in time to go to work. Well this morning I woke up the same way only my voice doesn't want to come back so I am going to turn on a movie for Blake and go back to bed for a bit hopefully come 4pm I will be able to talk and go to work to answer the phone until 11:30pm. Other than the throat thing I am feeling fine with bit of the sniffles but I'm determined to beat this thing before it gets me down completely.
Have a great Monday!

Moving around

It can be frustrating moving, with my husbands job we are forced to move every couple of years and that can be hard on not only the kids but us and our finances. It's hard to co-ordinate the sale of one house and buying another one so we can get moved quickly. A few years back was a disaster when we couldn't get our home sold fast enough and my husband had to back out of his move after a couple of weeks. It was very frustrating, we decided that we had to be more prepared and searched for a service that could sell house fast so the next time we have to move we have a service that will come in quickly, view our property, make a fair offer within 48 hours and look after the completion of the deal for us. The next time we have to move it will be that much easier as we will only have to worry about finding the new home and not selling our current one. That's more fun for sure.

Last weekend we drove home to visit with our family and to celebrate my son's 4th birthday. It has been a few months since we have travelled so we were sure how well our puppy would be???? She was great and just sat or curled up on her bed between the kids. She didn't seem to mind it at all! It was a great trip and we are looking forward to my family coming to visit in a couple of weeks!

Selling it online

I used to save up all my unwanted stuff in my basement and eventually in the summer I would have a yard sale and sell it all off for basically nothing. I discovered Selling on eBay and now I get to turn the basement into a great new workshop for my hubby because I don't have to hang onto stuff anymore. It's so easy to sign up and use ebay and I can sell my unwanted things for what it's worth instead of giving it all away. The things I have learned as I use the ebay service are that it's important to have a good picture of the product you are trying to sell. Along with that other important things are to have a realistic price that you want for your items and do your research to know what is an appropriate price. If you price it too low, yes it will sell quickly but you are not going to maximize your profit, price it too high you will be waiting forever to sell your product. Another important tip is to give a very good discription of your product you are selling and be sure to be honest about the condition of the item. Take your time and be sure to put some thought into your ad and you will be able to sayiSold It on eBay.

Well all the hard work that I have been doing at work and all the training on extra accounts has finally paid off. No I'm not getting more hours yet, no I haven't been offered a permanent position yet but I am heading in the right direction. After having 3 days off from work I went in for my shift last night with everyone congratulating me, for what I wasn't sure and was completely puzzled????? I was given a comfortable leather computer chair to use for the month of November along with a gift certificate (ok I will be getting that tonight) then was shown the certificate on the wall that said EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH! I guess I have had pretty good success for my first month at work! Now I will have to work on getting more hours and securing myself a permanent position with the company :0)

Christmas Shopping

The days until Christmas are counting down and my shopping list isn't keeping up with the disapearing days. I am finding it especially hard now that I am back to work to find the time to get out to the mall and shop. Also trying to balance my bank account with my purchases is becoming more challangeing this year with all the raising costs we are all facing. I am banking on getting some of the great thanksgiving deals that all the retailers will be offering. I am hopeful that with the tough economic outlook this season that the offers will be more generous than normal and I will be ready to take advantage. One of my favorite ads every year is the Toys r Us Big Toy Book the kids love to take this and circle out all their biggesst Santa wishes. Many years the toys r us book has helped me bring great smiles to my kids faces on Christmas morning. Using the Black Friday website allows me to make the purchases I want at the deals I want to pay and I can do it all from the comfort of my home without having to stand in line, fight my way into stores and not get what I want in the end. It's a great alternative and allows me to save time and money in my Christmas Shopping Adventure.

I'M BACK!

What a weekend! It was busy but lots of fun and now it's time to get things unpacked and caught up on much needed sleep. Maybe Blake will cooperate today and we will curl up in bed and watch tv (I mean sleep LOL).

It was a rough drive home last night once we hit Cape Breton, it was snowing and apparently it snowed the day before as well. We hit a lot of hail storms which made the visibility near impossible so we took our time and it was a looooong drive home. We came across a fairly bad accident not long after we hit the snow and just minutes later came across another one, by then we were a bit uncomfortable driving home in the weather. Hubby wasn't worried about his driving it's always not being sure about the other drivers. For example....see the first picture with the snow covered road? Well that little car in front of us we think panicked when an on coming transport truck with a line of cars behind it was approaching us, it put on it's signal light to pull off the side of the road so hubby slowed down as we were approaching to pass the car then all of a sudden it cut back in front of us, put on it's brakes and slide. Well that obviously caused hubby to put on his breaks (and yes it was slippery). Luckily everyone kept the vehicle in control enough to prevent an accident which a good because with a transport truck, a line of cars and the two of us it would have turned out to good. After that hubby slowed right down even more and let the car ahead of us go ahead to leave a good distance between us. Matt didn't trust their driving. Once we got closer to home the snow had ended! I was never so glad to be home :0) and have everyone safe!

I have lots of pictures of the weekend so I will be spending my time on my family blog trying to get them posted for my family. Feel free to visit!

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY BLAKE!

The weekend isn't over yet but so far it has been a great weekend visiting with family! Last night the kids had a great Halloween which finished off visiting a great haunted house not far from my mom and dad's house. The kids were great and all participating and touring the house, now mind you some were a bit hesitant but not my little Blake (4years old) he was totally amazed with the whole thing! He shook hands with the live skeletons, witches, goblins and even the HULK which was his favorite. Now besides the Haunted House my favorite part of Halloween was the CANDY APPLES! MMMM :0)
This morning came rather quick and quite early but Blake woke us up with excitement! Today is his birthday and my baby just turned 4 years old! We celebrated with a family birthday party with lots of fun. Visiting with family can be tiring but it's so nice to be home to visit. Tomorrow we will be heading towards home with a stop to visit with hubby's parents then will hopefully be on the road back home just after supper. It will be another four hours from their house so the kids will change into their pj's then fall asleep during the drive.
I know I haven't been keeping my blog updated lately but I have been visiting! Things got sooooooo out of control this week with work and family life that I was at my breaking point and if it wasn't for having this weekend to look forward to I think I might have had a break down. The break was and still is much needed but I now realize that I have to get our family life into some kind of routine and with any luck my work will stop training me on new accounts. I am only hired on for a temp. position (for now) so why take on more work than I need to?.
Ok so enough rambling on here lol I just wanted you to know that I am around and reading and looking forward to getting things some what back to normal. Well I see that my mom is asleep on the couch so I think that is a sign that it's bed time.
I have lots of pictures and I will try to get them posted when I get home!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Upgrading the office

Days at the office have begun to change rapidly with the increase in technology that is available it was time to update our gear to get more with the times. For years we have done all our training with the old projector and acetates to show the information we were training for. The time it took to get things prepared for the meeting was very difficult as we had to develop our meeting plan than to copy it so we could use it with the projector. We decided we needed a new projector that could hook up to our computer systems and project our presentations up for the whole group to see. Now things we had to take into consideration for this was of course the price as we would have to maintain the budget to keep the boss happy. Than of course we needed something that was user friendly as the boss is a little old fashion and is only just now starting to warm up to computers and everything they can do for us. Other important areas of consideration was the after service that was available because if there were any issues we wanted to be sure that we would be looked after quickly. We were surprised by the assortment of data projectors and av systems that were available to purchase but found with the information provided it wasn't hard to find the best system to match our office needs. One of the most comprehensive companies we were able to find was "Reflex" they provided a great selection of products at reasonable prices which fit our budget along with great service options and customer service that was able to help with all our questions and took the time to help understand our companies needs. It's important to take the time to shop around when you are planning on making upgrades to your systems and ask the right questions to be sure you get what you need.

WHAT A WEEKEND!

This week has to have been my busiest week in a very, very long time. My husband made it back from his business trip Wednesday evening and nothing has slowed down even the slightest. It ended up working out that both me and Matt had last night off (usually one of us are working evenings) so after getting our monthly grocery order I took Trinity out for a mother/daughter evening to see High School Musical 3 in theatre! We had a great night and while waiting at the theatre she met up with friends from dance which was good because I was able to chat with their moms while waiting ( and it was a loooooong wait). I was so proud of her because I had expected her to want to sit with her friends, which she did, but she still wanted to sit with me because it was our night out. So I guess she won both ways, she still had he time with mom but had her friends there also!

This morning I had to send my oldest son off for the weekend with his Air Cadets group. They were going on their annual Bush Trip camping! It always makes me nervous sending him away like that but really they aren't that far from here and they know about his sleep walking habit and they assured me that it would be really hard for him to get out of the military tent, so fingers crossed :0) He was excited and I'm sure he will have a great time and I can't wait until he comes home (tomorrow afternoon)

Finding the best help

Finding the best help when you have been caught up in a motor vehical accident can be a scary task to preform. Proving fault is one of the most important points to begin with and can be difficult depending on the situation. If you have been involved in an accident in the Omaha area you want to turn to the best Omaha personal injury lawyers available. Larry Demarath has been practicing law for many years and specializes in motor vehical accidents and getting you the compensation you deserve. It takes specialist to help determin what compensation you would deserve following your accident buts at this point its important to ensure you have someone on your side that will help look to be out for your support.

I MADE IT THROUGH....

So last night things went pretty good with the new sitter! The kids were a bit hyper at first but she was able to get them in bed and sleeping by 8:30pm. After she left my oldest son took over and kept an ear open for the other kids and you can imagine how many times I called to check in on things at home. At 10:00pm I had my half hour break so I quickly drove home and checked in on things for myself. All was well! I got Jay settled in my room, which was more central to all the rooms so that he could go to sleep. He was comfortable with the idea of being home alone with the kids so I headed back to work for my last hour and a half. I wasn't long getting out of there at midnight to come home to my sleeping children. (Sigh of relief!) I got changed and headed straight to bed then the phone rang (yep at 12:30 am) It was hubby :0) So needless to say I didn't get right to bed last night and was up early getting the kids ready for school and Yes I am exhausted :0( I only work a 4 hour shift tonight and will be home around 8:30pm so once things are settled in here I am off to bed. But keep in mind that hubby will be calling again tonight after he gets back to the hotel so I am not expecting to get to sleep early and I wouldn't be nice to just let the phone ring now would it???? Very tempting though :0)
I don't know what is going on with the hours at work but they have been cut and I only have 4 hour shifts all week so not as much money coming in as we were expecting. Hopefully the call volume will pick up soon and we will get our hours back! Fingers crossed :0)
Have a great Tuesday to you all!

LIFE'S A BLUR

One thing that I have noticed with my new job is that I am having trouble seeing the computer screen. I have been working now for 3 weeks and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier seeing. Now the lighting isn't the best but by the end of the night I have been suffering from headaches. So to me the obvious thing to do now would be to make arrangements to have my eyes examined. Well I already now that I do need eyeglasses but since my oldest son was born I haven't been wearing them. I now think the time has come to look into a new pair of eyeglasses so that I can once again see things much clearer. One of the reasons I haven't bought a new pair of glasses is because of the cost, as you all now eyeglasses aren't cheap or at least that's what we think. ZenniOptical.com sells stylish prescription glasses online from $8 where I found a huge selection of frames with single vision lens, bifocal lens, tinted sunglasses, sun sensor lens, tinted sunglasses lens, and progressive lens. Not only will this save me money on my eyeglasses but for my husband and daughter also. Eyeglasses are now something we can afford and can do so with style.

LET THE K--OSS BEGIN!

If things around here weren't already crazy enough, let's just add to it! Hubby just left for the airport and won't be back until later Wednesday evening. This leaves ALL the family responsibility on me :0(. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but now that I am working it feels almost impossible to make things work. I have our new sitter coming at 5:00pm so that I can make it to work for 5:30pm. I work until midnight but she can leave once my youngest son goes to sleep then my oldest son can take over since everyone will be alseep. Tomorrow is a bit of a challenge with working again but only until 8pm but my daughter will need a drive home from her dance class and I haven't been able to make arrangements for that as of yet.I am off on Wednesday so there is no problem there. With all this going on I will just hope and pray that everything works out with the new sitting and that I will be able to focus on my work. It's times like this that makes me wish that I had some family around to help.

CAMERA CRITTER ~28

During our family summer vacation we woke up one morning to find a poor little birdie in our van. It had been trapped in there all night and what a mess of bird dropping all over the inside of our van. Let me tell you it was some happy to be set free that morning!
