My Daughters First Ring

After returning from our first big dance competition I thought I should get my daughter a little something that she could remember our trip from. She worked so hard and earned a medal for every single dance she performed, her solo's and group programs, 10 in all. It was an exciting time for us and I found some great enamel rings but I especially love this one and the price...Wow, it is on sale for 4.99. Now the site I am ordering it from offers free shipping on orders over $50 so I will have to also shop for some new fashion jewelry for me so I can take advantage of that great deal. The site also offers a full no hassle 30 day money back guarantee with no questions asked so I can shop with no worries. Another great feature is that they not only take all major credit cards but also they are PayPal verified so you can shop and use your paypal to make your purchase to protect your credit information. I can't wait for Trin's beautiful pink love ring to arrive I know she will be excited and surprised.

Boys can dance too

The boys were excited today when I arrived home with their new Dance Jackets. They have been waiting all year and it was even better because their sister got her's about a month ago so they have been waiting patiently. The jackets arrived just in time to go off to competetion with so the kids will be looking their best on and off stage. Go get em boys.

My little Dancer

I am heading away on a Dance Competition with my daughter in the coming weeks, normally my hubby comes with us but this year he has to stay behind for work. My mom is subbing in and coming with us for support and I will be taking my youngest little guy down with us to make things a bit easier on Hubby. Our little fella is a gamer and is joining us in the parent/children dance and will probably be the star of the show. Here he is in costume with he glorious red gel hair. He's pretty excited to get up on stage with us and have a great time.

Looking forward to a great trip

Things are starting to come together for our big dance competition this spring. We got our hotel booked today and we are awaiting the final list of people that will be accompaning Trin and I to the big competition. Hubby and the boys may be coming, he is just waiting on some confirmations on time off from work. We found a great vet and are planning on boarding the dog there while we are away. My mom asked about coming with us and will meet up with us on the way there. It will be a busy six days that's for sure but we are sure looking forward to a great time. Trin has put a lot of hard work into her dances this year and this will be her time to shine.

Dance Registration

Getting ready for back to dance, the kids finished up their dance camp today and had a mini show at the end to show us what they have accomplished. It was quite an exciting moment and we were very proud. It was also the day of registration for the fall :0(, lots of money due to keep the kids going in their dance, with Blake entering classes for the first time and Kohl expanding back into jazz/tap along with his hip hop classes. It is going to be an expensive year for dance classes, but they enjoy it so much it makes it worth it.

RAIN....RAIN....RAIN....

Sure the rain is better than the snow we got here on Sunday but my God enough is enough. The rain would be one thing to deal with but it's the cold that comes with it. At this rate I am not getting any yard work done and the kids are always stuck in the house and really starting to get bored with it. But hey on the bright side of things, the workers were back yesterday and finished the last bit of work on the new windows so they won't be back and I can get things cleaned up around here. What a mess I am in. The kids dance competition starts tomorrow so hopefully the weather will get nicer, there is nothing worse then getting the kids to the competition in costume with worrying about getting them wet and dirty.

TGIF!

I am so looking forward to the weekend. For the first time in a long time we have nothing planned, no running around for basketball or dance. Just a quiet relaxing weekend. Ok this is what my weekend should be like as long as it rains like it is suppose to for the entire weekend. If the weather clears I will have to participate in the Mother's Day baseball game with the church youth group. We will see what happens. Hubby works tomorrow night and again on Sunday (yep Mother's Day) but as long as the weekend stays quiet I will be happy. The kids already got me an outfit for the treadmill but I will have to wait until Sunday and I am thinking of making a chicken dinner for supper on Sunday. I will let the kids help then they will think that they made supper for me. I will be expecting a big mess LOL
Yesterday we got some more yard work done. Slowly but surely it will get done. We re planted another tree and came up with a great idea for a deck for the yard which would be a lot better for the pool so now do we go ahead with the new deck and fence or look into finishing the attic? Heck why not just get a second vehicle to make things a lot easier on us LOL Oh what to do and we can only do one and that will not happen right away. What would you do?
Next weekend is Trinity and Kohl's dance competition with tonight being there last rehearsal for hip hop. Kohl is so excited to be going to his first dance competition. Trinity still has another rehearsal next Thursday for Tap, Jazz and Ballet and will compete all 3 plus her hip hop with Kohl next Friday afternoon. I can't wait to get pictures of their costumes!
Even though it is raining today I still have lots planned. I got on the treadmill this morning for an hour while talking with my mother now I am going to change the curtains from my bedroom to the living room then will have to come up with something for my room. Now making the matching curtains for the from computer room won't happen. I need to be in the right mood to tackle something like that and if I have any motivation left over I will get some more cleaning done around here. I am going through things like crazy and throwing it out!

DANCE COMPETITION

Now with the renovations on the house taken care of we are just getting the van packed now at 10:30 at night for our trip to Trinity's dance competition. The kids are all very excited and Trinity can't wait to get there for the workshop tomorrow afternoon to dance with the some of the winners from "So you think you can dance"! She couldn't believe it when I told her that she can get their autographs and a picture with them. I will get lots of pictures posted as soon as I get a chance. Now it time to get some sleep before the fun day begins tomorrow. She doesn't compete her dance until Saturday morning. I'm sure they will do fine :0)

MORE DANCING...

Here are the girls (some missing) during their dress rehearsal on Thursday. They are busy getting ready for the dance competition that is being held out of town which will make for many many busy days away from home. These girls have worked hard on their dances from September right up until now to see where they will place against other dance schools around the province.

Along with the competition they will get to attend a dance workshop that is being put on by the winner of "so you think you can dance" season 3 - Sabra along with Kameron and Cedric form season 3, both top 10 dancers! This is sure to be a great experience for all the dancers.
Jenn, I know how much you like to watch Trinity dance so I will put another video on my family blog...Anyone can check it out (I will try to post it soon---tonight???)

FIRST DANCE REHEARSAL!

Well some of you may already know that my daughter is a great dancer and towards the end of April she will be attending a dance competition out of town. She is so excited and we are so proud of her and all her accomplishments! We always said that we would do anything for her when it comes down to her being able to dance and .... well...I guess that time has come :0) During this competition they are celebrating their 10th annual competition so they are putting on a birthday blast with lots of fun, treats and dancing of course, but in order for each dancer to participate in the dance that each dance school has been asked to do one of the parents must participate also. So I am getting ready to go with Trinity to our first dance rehearsal for 2pm. I will have to go pick up the sitter in a bit so I guess I should go get ready! Should be fun :0)
UPDATED (8:00PM)
Matt and our 5 year old son are joining in the fun so their is the four of us from our family! The dance is a bit of the rough side but we still have three more classes to go! God help us LOL....I might put a video of us playing around at home on my family blog. Nope I guess the video isn't going to happen this week it turned out to dark to see :0( but we had fun!

STRANDED ON THE FERRY....:0(

This is a picture I took the other day when we got home from our Spring Vacation. The ice is coming in to melt and making it hard for the ferry to get through!

The rain started yesterday evening and later last night is turned to freezing rain. It didn't get as bad as we were expecting and it seems with all the rain the ice in ocean is breaking up a little bit more. We live just minutes from the ferry to Newfoundland and earlier this week the ferry wasn't able to get through the ice which left passengers stranded for 60 some hours before the ice breaker was able to break a path through for the ferry. One man was taken off the boat do to a panic attack that they thought was a heart attack at the time but everyone just seemed to be happy to be back on land and continuing on their way. I couldn't image how would have felt being stranded like that no far from land. We could see the ferry from here! I sat with the kids yesterday in the van and watch the attemp of another ferry trying to leave. It successfully got through the ice but I missed it because I had to take Trinity to dance class. I am sure we will get to see the ferry break through the ice again real soon and maybe I will get some good pictures!

***CONGRATULATIONS MISS TRINITY !

Triniyt received a great Tap report last night from her junior 1 tap exam that she took on the weekend. This was her first dance exam and she did awesome! I am so proud of her. The exam assessement was broke down into marking categories of pass, pass plus, commended, commended plus, highly commended and highly commended plus and I am pleased to say that Trinity received a " HIGH COMMENDED" assessement. She is a natural little dancer and makes both her mother and father very proud :0) Next year she will take her Jazz 2 exam...

***EARNING MONEY ONLINE!

Hear me rant about money....

This month is going to be a pretty costly month with my daughter's dance classes. Along with her monthly payments of around 60 some dollars for tap, jazz and ballet, I am hit with $75 for renewing her second term in technique jazz class along with my son's term payment of $60 for hip hop classes. It gets worse...Trinity has her tap exam on January 19th which will cost an extra $55 and the kids competition fees of $170 combined are due by January 25th. Wait there's more :0(...I haven't even mentioned the 3 dance costumes that my daughter will be needing and that will bring the bill up at least another $150...eeeks. Thank God I got 2 costumes second hand. With all this said I am so thankful for the extra money I am earning online because of this I am able to pay off the dance bill on time. What a weight lifted off my shoulders when I realized that the money I've made online will be enough to pay the bill. It's times like this I know my time put into payperpost and Blogitive is well worth it!
