Transformer Day

With the kids on summer vacation and Matt on a weeks holiday from work we are filling the day up with some fun activities. It was rainy and miserable Tuesday so we took the kids to the theatre for the afternoon. The kids have been very excited about getting to Transformers 2 so the boys went to see that one but us girls went to My Sisters Keeper and it was so sad. Transformers ended up being an hour longer than our movie so we snuck over to see the end of that one to. I think we got the better deal in the end. The kids really love going to the movies, and we really like to take them, it's fun for us too.

What's your favorite 80's movie

Do you remember back to the eighties, I know I'm telling my age a bit but oh well. The other night my hubby and oldest son watched Gremlins when he got home from work and the other kids were in bed. I can remember the first time I saw this movie it was hilarious. Do you remember cute little Gizmo, that spawned the evil batch of Gremlins that terrorized the town? And yes let's not forget the sequal, Gremlins "the new batch", that came a few years later. What's your fond movie memory from the 80's.

***THE WATERHORSE...

O.K. so we are back from watching "The Waterhorse" in theatre. What do I say about it?....well compared to Alvin and the Chipmunks it didn't seem to keep the kids entertained but it was a pretty good movie. Like my oldest son said it's hard to compare the two movies because they are so different but they all enjoyed Alvin and the Chipmunks much better than Waterhorse. My kids can watch most movies over and over again that's why we buy them when they are available on DVD but I don't think this one they would watch too many times. I guess that's all I can say about that The Waterhorse, but as for Alvin and the Chipmunks I would recommend that movie to everyone! It was entertaining from the beginning to the end :0)
