SIGHTSEEING TOURS

I am just counting the days until we take our family on vacation to Orlando, Florida. I remember going when I was younger and I had the time of my life and want my children to have the same experience and memories. My vacation to Florida was spent with my grandparents and we spent many days visiting the many attractions that Orlando has to offer. Sea World, Bush Gardens and Disney's Magic Kingdom are just some of the attractions we visited and it was an awesome experience and to see my grandparents enjoying some of the rides as well was priceless. Great time had by all! Besides the amusement attractions we experienced some of the Orlando Tours. I remember this to be a great way to visit Orlando while getting to sit back and enjoy the sights of the city.

Last Sunday the snow was falling, the wind was blowing and we were enjoying the snow! We couldn't take being in the house any longer so we bundled up and headed to the hill. It was a 15 minute walk but well worth it when we got there. The kids really enjoyed their time and took advantage of the hour and a half of sliding.

***1ST GUITAR LESSON

I can play..."Hot Cross Buns"
(don't laugh I'm just starting)

Now it's Jay's turn to be in the spotlight. He had his very first guitar lesson last night. This went really well and he has an instructor that he really connected with. He was so excited and learned so much in just a half hour session. He had a smile from ear to ear when he came out of class and his face just lit up. At first I wasn't sure how interested he really was in learning to play but I think he has found something he loves (along with basketball) and is a natural at it. I think learning the guitar will come easy for him. I guess he likes to perform like his sister but in a different way! keep up the hard work Jay...it will definitely pay off :0)

Insurance Premiums

Everyone dreads the thought that something may happen to ourselves or one of our family members but the reality is that at any moment life can happen to anyone of us. Once you've decided to take action to protect the most important thing in your life you should look into a family insurance policy to secure your families financial well being.
Once you have made that crucial decision sometimes the most challenging things is to find the best policy for you and your needs. If you are looking to save money on insurance you can check out all the different types of policies that are available to you.
So if you are looking to reduce premiums you owe it to yourself to shop around and work with your insurance provider to get the best deals available for you. The best thing you can do for yourself is to research as much as possible to find the best insurance solutions for you.

***BRRRRR!

The last 2 days have been absolutely freezing with the wind chill it has been as cold as -29 C. Needless to say we haven't been walking the kids to school the last few days. I'm sure the Oil Man is just loving us because the heaters have all been cranked up. It finally started to warm a little tonight and began to snow it is supposed to warm back up tommorrow, we sure hope so anyway.

Tonight is my son's first night of guitar lessons, he asked for a guitar for Christmas and has been eagerly anticipating the beginning of his lessons. He will be going once a week to work with his instructor and practicing at home every night for about a 1/2 hour, it will be a lot of work but he really wants to learn so he'll do just fine. I can't wait to hear him strumming away to his favorite songs.

PROFESSIONAL BULL RIDING

I can only imagine what it would be like up on a bull. The chances you are taking, the dangers and such a large animal. Oh my, the adrenalin running from just watching such an event! I think it would be a rather scary experience but for many others they do bull riding as a profession. Now don't get me wrong here, just because I wouldn't want to ride a bull doesn't mean that I wouldn't be caught purchasing Professional Bull Riders tickets! I spent a lot of my childhood watching bull riding on television Saturday afternoons with my dad and always thought it would be fun to attend a bull riding event in real life someday. Will you be attending the Professional Bull Riders World Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada? Get your tickets now!

***IT'S TIMES LIKE THIS....

...THAT REMIND ME THAT MY CHILDREN REALLY DO LOVE EACH OTHER!

With having four children things are always crazy busy around here and the kids are always picking at each other and aren't very nice to each other on most occasions which often gives me the impression that they hate each other. The other night after little Blake took a fall into his brothers bed, I got the bloody lip cleaned up and put a cold cloth on it to help stop the bleeding while he was curled up in my bed. Not long after I returned to the bedroom and found Kohl and Blake cuddled up together and Kohl was telling Blake that it was alright, trying to make him feel better! Why can't they be this way to each other all the time or at least most of the time?!:0)

***CUTE JOKE!

AN OLD MAN WAS GROCERY SHOPPING WITH HIS GRANDSON.

THE TODDLER WAS CRYING AND AT TIMES SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS.

AS THE OLD GENTLEMAN WALKED UP AND DOWN THE AISLES, PEOPLE COULD HEAR HIM SPEAKING IN A SOFT VOICE...'

WE ARE ALMOST DONE, ALBERT... TRY NOT TO CRY, ALBERT... LIFE WILL GET BETTER, ALBERT...'

AS HE APPROACHED THE CHECKOUT STAND, HE CAREFULLY BRUSHED THE TODDLER'S TEARS FROM HIS EYES AND SAID AGAIN,'

TRY NOT TO CRY, ALBERT... WE WILL BE HOME SOON, ALBERT...'

AS HE WAS PAYING THE CASHIER, THE TODDLER CONTINUED TO CRY AS A YOUNGWOMAN IN LINE BEHIND HIM SAID,

'SIR, I THINK IT IS WONDERFUL HOW SWEET YOU ARE BEING TO YOUR LITTLE ALBERT.

'THE OLD GENTLEMAN BLINKED HIS EYES A COUPLE OF TIMES BEFORE SAYING . .

MY GRANDSON'S NAME IS JOHN........

I'M ALBERT

***YOU CHEER ME UP!

I was given this "You Cheer Me Up Award" from Misty! It was definitely something I was needing first thing this morning as I woke up in the most miserable mood imaginable...Oh my poor family, I'm surprised they didn't kick me out the door. After my husband took them to school then headed to work himself I was able to sit down at the computer and this is when I saw that Misty gave me an award. That ended the mood...What was up with it in the first place. Someone must have set me off in my dream or something. Anyway things are great now and when I finish up here I will go watch a movie with Blake down in the family room. Thank you such much for this Misty...but you are the one that cheers ME up! Especially today :0)

~For this award, please go over to A Nice Place in the Sun to read her very fun and inspiring post about why she created this award.

I am going to pass this award on to Petula, JJ, Jenn and Jocelyn! Let other know how much they cheer you up!

***A MAN'S PRAYER!

My husband emailed this to me earlier today...thought I would share it with you...

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:

"Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen.

God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.

The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the checkbook. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already 1P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing.

At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad,
Breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said: Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back."

The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied: "My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait nine months, though.

You got pregnant last night."

***BAND MEME

I was tagged by Tammy to do this Band Meme...I had fun with it!

Here's how it works -
You are about to have your own band's CD cover.

Follow these directions to the letter.
Go to......

1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:RandomThe first article title on the page is the name of your band.

2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Ok here I go...

The name of my band is CATHAY DE GRANDE!

The title of the album is TOO DARK TO READ!

and this is my album cover...

I am going to pass this meme on to my hubby Matt, Jocelyn, Anna and Darlene. Let me know when you get it posted!

***HOW DOES HE DO IT?

~ I know...I spelled mystery wrong...oops~

In this house with Blake around it is next to impossible to shower alone but the big mystery around here is how does he get stripped off so fast? He does this in seconds and his clothes are always found dropped on the bathroom floor the same way. It's like he teleports himself out of his clothes and into the shower, which would explain why his clothes are piled up this way. Hmmm!

This kids could spend the day playing in the shower or bath tub. If there is water around he is happy and has to be one of the cleanest 3 year old around. He does this twice a day with hubby then with myself and sometimes again in the evening when it's time for the kids to get showered he is wanting his turn in the tub. Some days it's a pain but is it really and issue worth dealing with at the moment. He is still a little boy! When the water starts running so does Blake :0)

***GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!

I have done a whole lot of blog hoppin' today due to the fact that I was rearranging the furniture in my house trying to get things better organized. We have been living here for 6 months now so you would think that I would have things in place by now. Nope! But I think I am getting there. I didn't have any opps today until I had the kids in bed and was heading there myself. So now that the work is done I will enjoy a hot bath and hopefully catch a few minutes of American Idol.
Nighty Night :0)

CELL PHONE BATTERIES

***GOOD NIGHT!

I think it's time to say good night and turn away from the computer. Prison Break is on earlier than expected so things are a little rushed to sit back and relax. Blake is missing one of his many many stuffed puppy dog and can't/won't go to sleep until they are all accounted for...OK so I guess I'm rushing here for nothing. Matt just informed me that Prison Break is on again at 9:00pm, the other show must be a catch up show from the fall. Talk to you all tomorrow. Night :0)
