Jay will be so happy when he gets home from school today. I finally have him signed up for guitar lessons that will start for him on Tuesday. This is something he has been looking forward to and now that he has his own guitar I think it's time he learned how to play. You never know I might look into guitar lessons for myself down the road...I will see what I can learn through him :0)

***YOU CHEER ME UP!
I was given this "You Cheer Me Up Award" from Misty! It was definitely something I was needing first thing this morning as I woke up in the most miserable mood imaginable...Oh my poor family, I'm surprised they didn't kick me out the door. After my husband took them to school then headed to work himself I was able to sit down at the computer and this is when I saw that Misty gave me an award. That ended the mood...What was up with it in the first place. Someone must have set me off in my dream or something. Anyway things are great now and when I finish up here I will go watch a movie with Blake down in the family room. Thank you such much for this Misty...but you are the one that cheers ME up! Especially today :0)~For this award, please go over to A Nice Place in the Sun to read her very fun and inspiring post about why she created this award.
I am going to pass this award on to Petula, JJ, Jenn and Jocelyn! Let other know how much they cheer you up!

***A MAN'S PRAYER!

My husband emailed this to me earlier today...thought I would share it with you...
A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:
"Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen.
God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.
The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the checkbook. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already 1P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing.
At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad,
Breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.
The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said: Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back."
The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied: "My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait nine months, though.
You got pregnant last night."

***BAND MEME
I was tagged by Tammy to do this Band Meme...I had fun with it!
Here's how it works -
You are about to have your own band's CD cover.
Follow these directions to the letter.
Go to......
1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:RandomThe first article title on the page is the name of your band.
2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.
3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
Ok here I go...
The name of my band is CATHAY DE GRANDE!
The title of the album is TOO DARK TO READ!
and this is my album cover...

I am going to pass this meme on to my hubby Matt, Jocelyn, Anna and Darlene. Let me know when you get it posted!
***HOW DOES HE DO IT?
~ I know...I spelled mystery wrong...oops~In this house with Blake around it is next to impossible to shower alone but the big mystery around here is how does he get stripped off so fast? He does this in seconds and his clothes are always found dropped on the bathroom floor the same way. It's like he teleports himself out of his clothes and into the shower, which would explain why his clothes are piled up this way. Hmmm!
This kids could spend the day playing in the shower or bath tub. If there is water around he is happy and has to be one of the cleanest 3 year old around. He does this twice a day with hubby then with myself and sometimes again in the evening when it's time for the kids to get showered he is wanting his turn in the tub. Some days it's a pain but is it really and issue worth dealing with at the moment. He is still a little boy! When the water starts running so does Blake :0)

***GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!
I have done a whole lot of blog hoppin' today due to the fact that I was rearranging the furniture in my house trying to get things better organized. We have been living here for 6 months now so you would think that I would have things in place by now. Nope! But I think I am getting there. I didn't have any opps today until I had the kids in bed and was heading there myself. So now that the work is done I will enjoy a hot bath and hopefully catch a few minutes of American Idol.
Nighty Night :0)
CELL PHONE BATTERIES
I always was the person to say that I could live without a cell phone but that was before my husband and I got one a few years back. Because of a job transfer we needed a way to keep in touch with each other which relied on us having a cell phone. I am happy to say that I haven't had any real problems with our cell phone but find that it is i need of a new battery.

***GOOD NIGHT!
I think it's time to say good night and turn away from the computer. Prison Break is on earlier than expected so things are a little rushed to sit back and relax. Blake is missing one of his many many stuffed puppy dog and can't/won't go to sleep until they are all accounted for...OK so I guess I'm rushing here for nothing. Matt just informed me that Prison Break is on again at 9:00pm, the other show must be a catch up show from the fall. Talk to you all tomorrow. Night :0)

TAX SAVINGS
It is coming up on tax season again as a business owner that is set up as a sole proprietorship or partnership you could be setting yourself up for the tax man's greedy pockets. Not only will you pay taxes on your business income but you will get hit with the self employment tax as well. Protect yourself by setting up an S corporation, as a shareholder you can contribute up to 25% of the shareholders employee S corporation salary. This will help you save hard earned tax dollars for you instead of giving it to the government.

***PRISON BREAK...
I am looking forward to the return of Prison Break tonight! Now I can get back into my Monday night routine of TV shows before heading of to bed and if I'm not mistaken I think I recall my husband saying that American Idol was starting soon. This week is it? I will have to look into that one. My kids are off to bed and I am going to finish up on the computer in the next little while and check the weather channel to see what to expect overnight and into the morning. Will tomorrow be a snow day for the kids. That would be fine with me, there is lots of work that needs done around the house and help would be nice....no I was just kidding LOL We will probably spend the day play Dance Dance Revolution if they are home and if so I will get to sleep in because hubby goes to work at noon. I will have to wait to see what morning brings. Will it be snow or will it be rain?

Think back and try to remember on event that happened to you that you feel was your time of fame. Was it funny, romantic, serious, accidental or adventurous? I can remember all to well back when I was between the ages of 7-10, I went sliding with my family and extended family. It was a nice winter day and everyone was enjoying their time going down then back up the hill over and over again. Then suddenly on my way back up the hill, there I was on my way back down again and faster then planned. I found myself face into some relatives on their way down the hill, there I was kicking my legs out in front of them while my face stayed stuck buried in the jacket of the person in front. I tell you this was quite the ride down and not seeing where i was going at such a fast speed was another feeling I still to this day can't explain. I survived the ride down with only a bloody nose and to this day I am the only one who remembers this event. At least now I can look back and laugh about it. If only you could have seen me sticking out in front of the sled. I don't know that this qualifies as being a time of fame but I was definitely in the spotlight for the rest of that day!

***GOOD MORNING!
It was indeed a great morning. I got to sleep in and as I was laying there thinking about getting up I could here the sound of breakfast being prepared in the kitchen downstairs and thought that my husband was probably making the kids pancakes....which he was....so I thought I would stay in bed a bit longer until they were finished so that I wouldn't eat any pancakes because as some of you might already know I am doing the 2 meals a day with cereal diet which does work by the way and if I went down I would be tempted to eat pancakes. Good choice I thought to wait it out...then I hear the whispers and giggles of the kids as they were coming up the stairs then I realized something was up! Sure enough the younger three kids brought me breakfast in bed and it wasn't my bowl of cereal LOL. They were so excited to show me the I love you pancakes as they COVERED them with syrup. Thanks guys just what I needed LOL. Blake stayed behind in the bedroom with me as the other 2 went back downstairs and he helped me eat the pancakes and in all honesty I think I only ended up eating 2 pancakes because of my helper. It was so cute to see them bringing me breakfast and I enjoyed every bit. Looks like cereal for lunch today!

So the decision has been made and Matt has accepted the free tickets to the hospitals Valentine's Gala. At first we weren't going to attend because with us both losing weight a few years back we never fully filled out wardrobe with new clothes besides how often would I need nice fancy dress clothes. I got a call from a friend who is attending this gala and she says it's not as formal as I've been told and a pair of dress paints and a nice dress shirt would be all most of the ladies will be wearing and Matt will only need new dress pants and shoes to go with his new shirt and tie he got for Christmas. So off to the Gala we will go in February. The prizes sound fantastic and expensive and the kids are looking forward to having the sitter come back for a night of fun and games and I do have to admit that I am looking forward to an adult night out!

***THE DAILY DOSE...
I got this "Daily Dose" from Jenn from Enjoying the Ride!"This little award is called The Daily Dose - and here is all the important info to tell you what it is about and where it came from. This is a tribute to all the blogs that you've discovered that you can't possibly live without. They make you laugh, cry, think and feel connected every time you read a post. They give you a thrill as you see them loading into your browser and you get an equally satisfying thrill when you see that they have commented on your blog".
One of the first things I do once the kids are off to school if not before...is to sit at the computer and do some blog hopping to see what new in the lives of some good blogging friends. They have become a part of my family and I find myself thinking of them many times through out the day, whether it's wonder how they are making out with their weight loss or what's new with their families or did Anne have her little baby girl yet. I look forward to getting my daily dose every morning from all these special blogs.
I am going to pass this along to all the blogs in my blog roll so that I don't leave anyone out and remember to share this award with others to let them know how you feel about them.

***EARNING MONEY ONLINE!
This month is going to be a pretty costly month with my daughter's dance classes. Along with her monthly payments of around 60 some dollars for tap, jazz and ballet, I am hit with $75 for renewing her second term in technique jazz class along with my son's term payment of $60 for hip hop classes. It gets worse...Trinity has her tap exam on January 19th which will cost an extra $55 and the kids competition fees of $170 combined are due by January 25th. Wait there's more :0(...I haven't even mentioned the 3 dance costumes that my daughter will be needing and that will bring the bill up at least another $150...eeeks. Thank God I got 2 costumes second hand. With all this said I am so thankful for the extra money I am earning online because of this I am able to pay off the dance bill on time. What a weight lifted off my shoulders when I realized that the money I've made online will be enough to pay the bill. It's times like this I know my time put into payperpost and Blogitive is well worth it!
