MY LAST DAY UNEMPLOYED...

Well this is it, tomorrow I go back to work so I will be taking advantage of today and getting some work done around the house! This morning we have started the main floor bathroom. The cabinets have a fresh coat of white paint, new hinges and knobs, just those small changes have made a big difference. Next we are painting the walls from a cream color to a light brown tone with white moldings.
I think that while hubby is busy painting I will get my clothes ready for tomorrow. I have 2 pairs of dark jeans that I have to take in the waiste and my black dress pants need hemmed. If I am going to have something to wear tomorrow I guess I should get it done. If all goes well I am hoping to have a nap this afternoon, I'm sure working late is going to be an adjustment for me but a lot better than getter up early.
And I still have to remember to get done a meme from Jenn!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I'M PUSHING IT TO THE LIMIT....

I feel completely worn out and will try to take the rest of the afternoon to get some rest. My cold is almost gone now, I just need some sleep. Monday I start my new job working evenings so I won't be able to get to bed early like I am use to so I hope things work out ok for me on that end. So I guess I should go lay down while the kids are some what quiet!

TEACUP PUPPIES

I have never had a dog before until just a few months ago. We got a pure bred beagle who is now 4 months old. Breigh our puppy, is turning out to be a great addition to the family but we still have so much to learn about dogs and taking care of one. We have been getting some advice from a friend of ours who has a pug named Sam and just the other night they got a new member to their family, a teacup puppy of some breed all I know is that is white, cute and fluffy! Breigh our puppy brings a lot of joy and excitement to our family and with her sad puppy eyes she gives it is hard not to give into her. Now call me crazy but if we were to consider getting another puppy I think I would love to have a teacup or pocket beagle! It would be like having another "Breigh" in the house but only smaller. When searching the web for pocket beagles I couldn't get over how many different teacup breeds there were, then I came across Isabella the cutest little Yorkie and her brother named buddy while reading their blog! Here you can get information on joining a kennel club, could a dog group be something for you? If you want to talk to others who are just as passionate about their pets as you are, then you should check it out. Get all the information you need on getting the best health care for your dog and nutrition.

I have just fallen in love with this cute, sweet puppy but I don't think that having a little Yorkie in our house would go over very well with our beagle. She is such a baby and wants all the attention to be focused on her. So as cute as a little Yorkie would be we will just have to enjoy the one puppy we have now. What do you think of the Yorkie Cross Breeds. Would this be a puppy you would possibly consider for you home?

JOINING AIR CADETS

Yesterday when Jay my 12 year old son came home from school he had mentioned to me about him and his friend joining the air cadets. At first all I could think about was great another night of running around and more money to try to budget. Well come to find out that him joining isn't going to cost me anything because it is all funded by the government and that they meet on Tuesday nights right beside us at the Junior High School where he now attends and on Saturdays they will meet there again for games and activities. He isn't sure if this is something he will be interested in but he wants to give it a try and decide for himself. I think it would be great for him and would be a great experience but to be honest I think it is the look of the uniform that has him worried! It will be interested to hear what he decides to do :0)

MAKING CHANGES

Now that I am going back to work (starting monday) I only have less than a week to get things organized and some changes made around here. So far tonight we have turned the dance room (for miss Trinity) back into the main computer room office (made arrangements for her to dance at the studio) which now frees up the front porch where the computer had been moved to. We will now use this as the front entry to the house where we will hang our jackets and leave our shoes. This will be great considering one thing this old house was lacking was closet space and I am getting tired of the jackets being left on chairs. So that is the main big changes in the house.

Another change I am going to have to make is getting rid of at least one of my blogs so I think I will be deleting my "As I see it" blog considering it is rather new and not a lot of traffic. I will have to turn my focus on my weight loss to my rantings blog and will still be there to offer other my support! I will be keeping this blog along with Jabber Jaws and My favorite... Let them be little, my family blog!

Now how can I make changes with my diet and exercise? I know this is something I am going to have to keep up with and could be a challenge but I only need 30 minutes on the treadmill so if I can get that done after the kids go to school I will be ok there and as for the eating habits I am hoping that by working nights will help me from getting into all kinds of food and by the time I get home I will be to tired to eat so maybe working nights won't be a bad thing for me!

So for my exercise journal for today....
I am not down any weight this week but I think the motivation is coming back and will hopefully see some results next week!
I walked/ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes, doing 2.03 miles and burning 333 calories then a half hour later took Blake and the puppy for a walk to hubby's work which took us 1 hr 30 minutes! I thought that was pretty good until I blew it with lunch from KFC (chicken place) but I did good the rest of the day. See what tomorrow brings!

GIVE ME FIVE MONDAY~2

This weeks theme is -Give Me Five birthday memories from your life or of someone else.

1. Jay, My oldest sons birthday in 1996! He was born 6 weeks early and a tiny little thing he was. It's hard to believe that he started Junior High School! One of his favorite things he looks forward to on his day is the easy no bake orea jello dessert.
2. Trinity, My one and only daughter's birthday in 2000! She was born the day before my birthday. Now every year we share our birthday and have special mother and daughter days! Miss Trinity isn't to fussy on what kind of cake she has on her birthday just as long as there is lots of icing! she is our junk food junky lol The best thing for her is that the next day she gets more cake when we celebrate my birthday!
3.We celebrated Kohl's birthday earlier than expected, he came into the world 5 weeks early and the day after our 1st wedding anniversay in 2002! He was a good size weighing 7lbs 7ozs! His favorite cake/dessert if the no bake jello cheesecake but he has to help me make it and I think that is the best part! We usually celebrate his birthday while on vacation at the beach. He looks forward to his beach parties every year!
4.Blake we call our Halloween baby! No he wasn't born on Halloween but just a couple of hours later on November 1st, 2004 and he too wasn't about to wait for my due date and came 4 weeks early! The date is getting closer and soon he will be celebrating his 4th birthday. We usually do a kids Halloween costume party for Blake but I think year his main focus is going to be transformers but I am thinking that since his costume is going to me the optimus prime transformer we can still do both and he won't notice the difference!
5.A couple of years ago my mom turned 50! Even though I live long distance from my family it didn't stop me from planning her a surprise party! With the help from my father and sister we pulled it off :0) She had a great night with her family and friends. I was so glad to be part of her 50th birthday! During March we have a string of birthdays with Trinity's the 22nd, Mine the 23rd, Mom's and my aunts on the 25th and now my newest niece on the 27th. What a month!

THE HANDWRITING MEME

I was tagged by my BFF Jenn for this handwriting meme which I found to be pretty interesting so it goes...

1.) Go ahead, get a piece of paper and a pen. Prepared? Okay!
2.) Write a pangram* in your language. Sign your paper with your first name or your nickname (not your signature!!!). You can also include your blog URL if you want to.

4.) Post it on your blog! Leave a comment here (or a trackback) once you have posted.
5.) Link back and tag - don’t be shy!

* A pangram, also known as holalphabetic sentence, is a sentence that contains all letters of the alphabet at least once. “The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog.” is a common example in English. There are pangrams in all languages - for a little inspiration spy *here*. Feel free to use one of these common examples or come up with something on your own.

CAMERA CRITTERS ~24

Breigh our 4 month old puppy has become quite the little cuddle bug! She does not like to be cold at all and she has been the this since the day we got her when she was only 4 weeks old, we always have to have a blanket nearby for her to curl up in. The first picture below is Breigh just the other day. When I got home from my job interview I couldn't find her then there she was completely covered with my big soft blanket. I moved the blanket a bit then she peeked her head out. Just look at that face!

Below is a picture of Breigh last week. We were getting ready to walk to hubby's work, I got the stroller ready outside for Blake then went in to get Blake ready. When we came out Breigh was in the stroller ready to go! The only problem was that the stroller was for Blake so Breigh had to walk. She was quick jumping into the basket of the stroller, I guess she wasn't in the mood for a walk that day!

Now take a close look at her head. Do you see the arrow pointing upward between her eyes? I think that is so cool! I only noticed it the other day :0)

BZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

I have been trying to catch up on some much needed sleep and when Blake wasn't feeling well the other morning I took advantage and put him in for a nap then crawled back into bed myself. He was tired and fell asleep right away, that never happens! So the next day I thought I would just try my luck and around the same time I put him in my bed with me and sure enough he fell asleep again! So I got another morning in with a nap :0) Well that was the end of the napping until again yesterday but this wasn't going as well. Blake wasn't the problem but the very very loud sound of buzzing in the room GRRRRRR After about 15 minutes of listening to this noise I got up to make sure it wasn't a bee????Nope it was just a great big house fly the size of my thumb nail and it was fast. I got my handy dandy fly swatter out and chased the fly around the house from my bedroom to the kitchen, then to the dining room and living and just when I thought I had it.....it was gone? With no sign of the fly in sight I went back to bed with Blake and seconds later it was back. Well it wasn't getting away from me this time. I shut my bedroom door, got the fly swatter in my hand and I wasn't giving up. By this point Blake was in tears laughing at me. The fly went from one side of the room until the other without stopping. I swear this fly was on something LOL Anyway I had enough...this fly was mine! I braced myself in the middle of the room and had this sucker cornered in one side of my room then after flying around and circling the bed it came right at me and I was ready I brought the swatter back like a baseball bat, held on tight and swung at it. Yes I connected with it with a loud sound as it was hit across the room, hit the wall and bounced off right back to where I was standing. YES VICTORY!
Oh and we did end up finally getting some sleep!

Collector's Dream

True collections take time to acquire and to get the best products you need to research and be sure you are getting the best quality items you can. A lot of collectors use the Internet to build their collections but with this takes caution as you want to be sure you are using sources you can trust. Companies with a reputable reputation like the CSN (CableShoppingNetwork) offer only the best products. They provide access to a great variety of collectibles to meet the needs of even the most finicky collector. Collecting can be a risky investment but a safe investment is usually in coin and metal commodities so look into great items like the new dollar coins you'll enjoy the fantastic detail on these collector coins.

AND SO IT CONTINUES.....

Yes I am going to talk about dancing again!!!! Tonight was Trinity's first night of regular classes. I dropped her off at 5:00 pm for her jazz level 1, tap, ballet and jazz level 3 classes then I returned to sit with her at 7:00pm during her off class and when I got there she had on her ballet shoes again! What is up with that?????? Apparently Kim (her teacher) said that since she was going to be there anyway every week while waiting for her lyrical class she may as well join the class in ballet ( this is an advanced class). The girls were handed their new ballet costumes for recital and competition and Trinity was handed one as well and she said " is this dress for me?" she was kind of confused since she wasn't suppose to be dancing at this level then one of the girls from her class Erin says" sure it's for you! We can't let a good dress go to waste now can we?" I thought that was the sweetest thing ever! They all know how much Trinity loves to dance and didn't want to see her sit out so she will now be doing 10 dances this year in total and the best part.... this class won't cost me any more money!

GROCERY DAY

It has been a long month but finally tomorrow morning we will get the kids off to school then head in to get our monthly grocery order. I was fortunate enough to gather up a few things for the kids lunches tomorrow so they will be happy to have treats in the house once again. Getting groceries only once a month is hard to do but it has to be done. The one thing that I find hard is saving enough money for fresh produce, milk and bread for the weeks in between and finding enough room in the fridge and freezer to keep a month supply of food.

Business Phone System

When it comes to running an efficeint and profitable business it's all about haveing a great organization. It is important to have the most efficeint and flexible communication system available. One such system now available would be VoIP phone systems these phone systems are not like your traditional phone line, they work off your broad band connection and are much more reliable. The VoIP system gives you all the traditional features you would expect from a phone service but without the expensive set up costs of traditional PBX phone systems. The Nimbus VoIP system offers unlimited phone calls withing the United States along with free dialing to any other Nimbus # anywhere in the world.

ALL NEW EPISODES

I do live a very busy life with four kids and an overload of dance classes but somehow I am going to find/make some time to catch the new episodes of some of my favorite tv shows. On Monday nights I am already getting into Prison Break which I have to remember that it is on at an earlier time next week, then on Tuesday I will watch House and Biggest Loser (I fell asleep this week and missed them), then on Wednesday I believe it is The Practice (spin off from Grey's Anatomy), and on Thursday there is CSI, Grey's Anatomy and I will have to check into it but ER should be starting soon as well. I will have to enjoy my shows while I can because sometime in October I will be starting to work evening and will miss all my shows. What shows do you look forward to watching?

THE HEAT IS ON

I had to resort to using the heat this evening, so I would have to say the fall is now here. Lucky for us our room is the only room that needs the heat on as the rest of the house is still around 20 degrees so we shouldn't see to much of a change yet with the electrical bill and on the bright side of things having the room cool is great when I actually get on the treadmill. I am struggling with that one and that's another story.

TICKETS IN YOUR HANDS

I am just starting to realize that planning a trip with a group isn't the easiest thing in the world. Not only are we getting the airline tickets booked, hotel reservations made but there are also the event tickets that we need purchased. So how does someone make sure that you get good tickets and have them in your hands? Well we are turning our attention to premiumseatsusa.com where we found a large selection of events from Theatre tickets, Nascar tickets,Miami Heat tickets and many other sporting event tickets. Don't worry about those sold out concerts and don't settle for just any seat available, turn to Premium Seats USA and get the seats you have been waiting for.

SUMMER IS OVER :0(

It is hard to believe that summer is already over and today I started to pack away some of the kids summer clothes to make room for their warmer sweaters and pants. This year summer felt so short with the warm weather coming late and having the fall weather hitting us early. I was looking back at some of my summer pictures with the kids and realized that although it was a very short season we did lots and had tons of family fun and all we can do know is buckle down and get ready for the colder months that are fast approaching.
This is a picture of Jay (in the lead) and Kohl (not too far behind) while enjoy one of the few sunny days while on our vacation back home with family.

TRIP TO NEW YORK

Last night was Trinity's first night of dance troupe and they were officially told that they will be travelling to New York next summer! The kids were filled with excitement as us parents stood back with our jaws dropped as we were getting an idea of how much this trip is going to cost us....eeeeks.... So needless to say that the next year for us is going to be focused around fundraising for this trip. Not only do I have to come up with the money for miss Trinity but I also need to find the money for myself to go as a chaperon. Next week we will be given the exact amount that we will be looking at and the date for the first payment to be made. This is going to be the most expensive dance year yet and it has just begun! Then there is the 9 costumes she will be needing, competition fees, workshop fees, dance exams and regular class payments and that isn't even mentioning the 2 boys and what they will be needing throughout the year. This does seem like a lot but to see the kids have an amazing amount of fun it will be worth every penny!
