***OUT FOR A WALK

So later this morning while cuddling on the couch watching Tree House my dear little Blakie thought it would be a great idea to go pick daddy up at work. Sure no problem buddy seeing how his father had the van at work, but he knows that we often walk to his fathers work to meet him at lunch time and that was what he wanted to do. So yes, no nap for us today, we got ready and heading out for our walk. It usually takes us a little over an hour to get there, he just loves it and it's exercise for me! Well today on our little journey we had a tag along right from the get go...I wasn't impressed, it was a stray dog and it wouldn't leave us alone. First it tried to take Blake's stuffed puppy then it was trying to eat his snack. I could not get rid of this dog. It kept running out in front of cars and I can't even begin to tell you how many times it almost got hit and the people were yelling at me to keep my dog under control, it was embarrassing. After 45 minutes the dog went into the Home Hardware store. We finally were free to enjoy the last 15 minutes of our walk and Blake got to eat his snack.

***WASPS NEST

Once again we took some time to clean up the apples off the ground in the backyard, Jay wasn't having anything to do with it this time he says it's not worth only $1 and besides he was playing street hockey with his friends. So the rest of us slaved away picking up apples. A few minutes later I heard a loud screach and my daughter was dancing frantically around the backyard, finally I got her to calm down enough to find out that she got into a wasps nest that was underground by the fence post. The poor little thing, she got stung at least 5 times, on her hand, her arm, her ear and her cheek. She was screaming in pain....all is better now and she is tucked in bed for the night. Her pinky finger is quite swollen but the rest seem to be fine. What a dramatic way to pick up apples. I'm just thankful that she didn't have an allergic reaction.

My daughter and I both have an interest in playing the piano but neither of us have taken lessons or know really what we are doing. I just love the sound the piano makes. ***MOVIE NIGHT

So we decided that we would take the night and do something special with the kids, by this time it was to late to head out to the movie theatre and further more with 6 of us it cost a fortune, and they are getting tired of watching from our own movie collection, we took them down the road to the movie rental store. We haven't done this with them in at least 3 years, we just buy the movies when they come out in stores and bring them home for them. This worked out pretty well for us and the kids had a great time picking out a movie, well it ended up to be 2 before we left because we got a free bag of popcorn by doing so. It was a great night with them and we could tell that they had really enjoyed our time together. Last nights movie was "FIREHOUSE DOG" it was awesome, it's a must buy for this house. Today before supper we will sit down and watch "ARTHUR AND THE INVISIBLES".

***ALL IS WELL

I had mentioned in an early post about my son and his friends and not sure if they were avoiding him or what not...well I talked to him and mentioned to him that they were over at the ball field and he headed over. It was the kids versus parents from his friend's church. He was invited to join the team and later was invited up with his friends for hamburgers and hot dogs...Looks like I just over reacted and everything here is fine. I just had to see my kids hurt so I try to shelter them from possible problems. I just need to let things be...

***NO MORE POOL

Well today is the day that we are taking down our backyard swimming pool. I would have to say that it officially to cold to go swimming even though the air temperature is still nice the water temperature has dropped and the kids are finding it a bit chilly. So out comes the plug and it will probably take quite a while to drain but we will be getting the yard cleaned up for the fall. It was a great summer and the pool got well used. Looking forward to next summer!

My husband emailed me this little joke from work this morning and thought you might get a little chuckle out of it!

An old man, Mr. Wallace, was living the last of his life in a nursing
home. One day he appeared to be very sad and depressed. Nurse Tracy
asked if there was anything wrong.

"Yes, Nurse Tracy," said Mr. Wallace, "My Private Part died today,
and I am very sad."

Knowing her patients were forgetful and sometimes a little crazy, she
replied, "Oh, I'm so sorry, Mr. Wallace, please accept my
condolences."

The following day, Mr. Wallace was walking down the hall with his
Private Part hanging out his pajamas, when he met Nurse Tracy.

"Mr. Wallace," she said, "You shouldn't be walking down the hall like
that. Please put your Private Part back inside your pajamas."

But, Nurse Tracy," replied Mr. Wallace, " I told you yesterday that
my Private Part died."

"Yes, you did tell me that, but why is it hanging out of your
pajamas?"

WHAT TO DO?

My 11 year old son Jay has been spending quite a bit of time hanging out with his new friends from the neighborhood, and he is looking forward to playing baseball and street hockey with them this weekend. Well he has been calling his friend Matt and is not able to get a hold of him or something to that nature so Jay has been hanging out in the house waiting for the boys....Now is where I'm stuck, while sitting here at the computer yesterday and today I have noticed the boys walking by the house going to the ball field. So are they giving Jay the blow off and don't want him hanging around or what? Do I tell Jay that they are over at the ball field or just let it be for now. I don't want to sent him over there all excited to play ball if they don't want him there. Maybe I'm just being me and I'm reading more into it but at the same time I don't want him to feel left out.

I was visiting Tammy's site at Mom Know Everything and she was making it aware to all bloggers that while randomly viewing other blogs she came across an x-rated blog. While searching through the random blogs you just never know what you might come across so be careful. I have been looking through blogs randomly for one month now and only came across 1 x-rated sight, well until today the second one I came across was nasty and unfortunately my 11 year old son walked into the computer room at the same time. I had fun explaining that one to him. I don't think that I will be randomly looking through any more blogs. I will go through blog catalogue.

I NEED A LAPTOP

Now that I spend more time at the computer than I do watching TV with working on my blog and getting opportunities for paid posting I am starting to think that a laptop would be a better solution for me. I really came to this realization yesterday. The kids were getting ready for dance class and we had 15 minutes left before we were leaving, well of course after waiting all day for a PPP opportunity to come available for me I finally got one. I was quick to typing and managed to get my opp done and submited it just in time, I tell you it was a rush. But then I ended up getting quite a few opportunities from another site...if I had a laptop I could sit and do them at the dance studio while waiting for the kids...Wouldn't a laptop make things easier, then I won't feel trapped in the computer room from time to time. Well you never know if I'm good, then maybe Santa will bring me one for Christmas. HINT, HINT!

I am the type of person who will only shop the deals and sales because with having a large family every peny saved is a penny earned.

A SUCCESSFULL DANCE CLASS

So we are home from the kids first class of hip hop dancing and it was great. My son did better than I had expected for the first class. He wasn't one bit shy and he was willing to give the new dance moves a try. I could just see the excitement in his face. Tonight they worked on doing the knee spin and the coffee grinder.... My daughter, well she is a natural at it and had so problems with it at all. They are both looking forward to going back again next week. It was so cute when I asked Kohl how he enjoyed his class he said " Mom, I loved it! I told you my world was all about dancing." All the parents thought he was just adorable and were glad to have him in their daughters class. They are looking forward to the great choreography with having a boy in the class.

Parenting

CUPCAKE RECIPES

Recipes, recipes, recipes! I have a cupboard full of different types of recipe books and now another to add to the collection. This one is a book of cupcake recipes. This will make for great baking fun to do with my 2 1/2 year old son who just loves to help me bake. One cupcake recipe we will try tomorrow is the Purple People Eater cupcakes, I thought it would be something different for a snack. There is such a wide variety of cupcake recipes for you to enjoy. DANCE CLASS

Tonight is the first class of hip hop for the kids. They are so excited! This is the first year for them both to try hip hop so I'm sure it will be a great experience for everyone. Next week starts our busy week with dancing, Trinity will do her technique jazz on Mondays , tap, jazz and ballet and Thursdays and back for hip hop on fridays. I am looking forward to a great year!
