***WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS....

O.K. so for another update on our home flooding condition....The washer is fixed....NOT. I did three loads of laundry and everything was going well. I took a minute to have lunch with Matt and Blake (MMM hot chicken sandwich) then I heard something a bit disturbing....MORE WATER...GRRRRR.... The tube on the washer let go again and believe it or not in this short amount of time flooded Jay's room again and into the garage. So I will be spending the rest of the day drying out the house once again. I don't think I will ever want to use my washer ever again... time for a new one. LOL yes I am laughing right now, at this point what else is there to do?!

We had flooding from the washer once. It wasn't the washer's fault, though. the lift pump in the basement, which forces all the basement water up so it can go out to the septic tank, quit. So, I was doing laundry. The washer was emptying and filling up the holding tank down there, and eventually it just overflowed. Luckily we hadn't finished the basement yet, so the water didn't ruin too much. Now it would be so much worse.

We later found out that the pump itself hadn't quit. Something hadn't been installed properly, and it slipped off. So, the pump was running, but it wasn't doing anything. Eventually that burnt it out. The installer had to replace it, and it didn't end up costing us anything.

AARGH! What a bummer. Kind of ruins the yummy chicken sandwich feeling! But a new appliance (besides the expense) is always worth looking forward to.

I have to be honest, at first I was a bit excited to get a new wahser except we don't have the money right now but then I realized that it wasn't a new dryer I wanted (needed) our washer is only 3 years old and our dryer looks like and antique and it is super hot, it shrinks everything I put in it.

Hopefully we will get the tube put on properly if that's possible, Matt is working on it right now :0)

thanks for the visit!
